On the whole I just find American comedy vastly un-funny very random, but why do Americans not seem to understand sarcasm :L?

While the characters may be, the comedy is not. It's utter rubbish on par with Two and Half men and seems to have gathered a mass following of teenagers over here, It's nowhere near on par with other America Comedies such as Community, Arrested Development, The Office and the older Frasier.

And yep, they came out with Kasabian after this site. As far as I'm aware there was no one tipping Kasabian as playing until efests told you they definitely were, because everyone thought they'd be playing at Hyde Park (from an nme story).

Their TV is amazing Breaking Bad, The Wire, Soprano's, Game Of Thrones and Friday Night Lights

South Park and Big Bang Theory are fantastic. Never got Family Guy though.

The only American comedies I really like are The Simpsons and Arrested Development.

I also enjoy Gazza's scattergun approach of projectile-vomiting band and festival names all over the forums, often in a contadictory manner from forum to forum or from day to day. It certainly provides a lot of talking points. Keep up the good work Gazza!

Nah it isn't. There's a group of American guys at uni and when we are sarcastic they either think its serious or just kind of stare and I've seen a few different things on TV where English people are in America and the locals didn't understand the sarcasm they used

But one of the major running jokes in Big Bang Theory is all the characters get sarcasm, and are constantly having to explain sarcasm to one other character.

Good sarcasm in there. But comedy is subjective, e.g. I think Big Bang Theory is pretty decent, funny in parts. I certainly wouldn't suggest liking it is a sign of a lack of intelligence, as was bafflingly suggested above

Walking Dead is the biggest let down I have ever seen, I don't understand how they could make something so dull and empty with such a great premise and brilliant source material.
