Sorry I don't know the difference between dubstep, drum and bass, every other type of dance music that sounds like that either. Why? Because it all sounds the same. Basically it sounds like shit. Is that a better comparison for you?

They aren't over here though are they? It'd have to be someone thats over here Id imagine.

Just had a look at some acts playing festivals but these are busy in Germany or whatever at the time NOFX, Flogging Molly,....

ah it could be Zebrahead, they're playing Germany on Wednesday then have nothing else booked until October.

Does anyone think bands will play after Tomahawk and Alkaline Trio on the Lock Up stage? seems a bit strange that the stage finishes so early?

Plus it makes no sense to me if it is the case that Alkaline Trio are playing last, to have the headliner of the Lock Up Stage clashing with System of a Down who will surely attract more of the type of person who would potentially watch Alkaline Trio than someone who would watch Green Day?

Bit odd neither Magnetic Man or Devlin clash with Eminem, leaves very little choice on the Saturday. Don't know why they didn't just book headliners that weren't so similar, or just clashed them & made people lump it like previous years...

Yeah it is odd, I mean they've really had to squish up the Lock Up so that Alkaline Trio don't clash with Green Day to the point where it looks like The Living End, who are subbing, only get 35 minutes.

@Com - you seem a sensible guy mate but come on - theres huge differences between different types of EDM music.

Most of it is not designed for the radio, particularly dubstep. Unfortunately it has become Americanized and overproduced. It was never intended for the "big stage" so to speak.

    • Surely nowadays with so much data analytics available on every division in world football and so much awareness that people aren't suckered in on the basis of a decent World Cup game... right?   Although tbf, from what I saw, Australia's game plan worked very well. But that was as much thanks to Turkey blowing varying opportunities given they created enough chances but couldn't finish, a la what happened with Switzerland against Qatar when they really could and should've won by 3/4 goals.
    • I missed Viagra Boys for a good spot for Gorillaz. Was a nice weekend and festival for me. Would definitely come back, if the line up is right. Get back home safe everyone.
    • The Last Temptation - new Heaven 17 documentary film directed by James Strong. Premiered at Sheffield Docfest this weekend.    I really enjoyed it. Affectionate, insightful, and honest. A nice mix of archival and footage, interviews and clips from the last tour. Martyn and Glenn are like an old married couple.   Plus a snippet of news from the Q&A, Martyn is recording new BEF material, and Phil Oakey has collaborated on the one of tracks. The film shows them meeting in Fagans for the first time in over 35 years.
    • Glad I’ve still got it booked off for my 50th
    • That would be perfect!
