It's all well and good and I like those bands, but reading is catered for newer music is it not? They are bands not even most late 20 something's have ever been into

None of them, not RHCP and neither of Green Day or Black Sabbath.

In all honesty, I think RHCP might be quite likely. R&L seem to like getting bands the year after they've done a festival/big gig/tour & I reckon they'll be in the sights of those other European festivals which haven't announced yet.

Some people like a good mix of old and new and don't dismiss music cos its not currently trendy. (Arguably Fleetwood Mac seem to be a bit trendy to like at the moment.).

Reading could do far worse than book Fleetwood....I doubt they have but

Also I love how Fleetwood Mac and The Who are dismissed as old and irrelevant yet Foos, Green Day, RHCP, Metallica, Pearl Jam, Sabbath are all considered viable options.

Quite looking forward to it now! Never seen Foals before so don't really know what to expect, never been to Rock City either so i'm looking forward to seeing what it's like! My friend has constantly plugged the venue since moving to Notts.

Haven't seen them before either but all reviews have been very good! Rock City is an incredible venue, this will be the 3rd time I'm there this year Great atmosphere, got a couple of douchebags recently though, couple of lasses going "Nottingham is a shithole" ... not a fine idea!

I suggest, if like me, you can't buy drinks at the bar, take some empty water bottles in, and fill them up in the toilets, if you take full bottles they'll make you empty&/bin them.

I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy. I like most of those acts but Foos at 18 years ago have comfortably the most recent debut.
