It always seems to me that the heavier acts are more popular at Reading, the fact that dentalplan says 'treated' makes me think that Reading should go back to two heavy days. Maybe one heavier than the other. Plus as Sonisphere has pulled out means that there maybe more of a market for heavier stuff.

I always thought BMTH were terrible and then they released There is a Hell... It's a great album... songs like Crucify Me and Blessed with a Curse really surprised me. The band have just progressed loads since their first two albums. I'm hoping they can keep up the momentum with the new album.

I listened to it for the first time today; I respect that it's a good album and I can see that they have some esoteric influences however I can't really get past the angst and find it a lot more rewarding just to listen to the bands that they're influenced by, however their next album does look very promising and that may change my view.

I always hated BMTH. Their first couple of albums were really not my thing, metalcore or whatever its called. But then I heard Anthem & Blessed With A Curse and liked their newer sound. Their last album was decent, I'll have to listen to the new song :) could see them playing the main again.

On a separate note, I'd like to see Smut Peddlers on the Lock Up.

I think he is having an easier time since There is a Hell because the new guitarist has taken over a lot of the singing... Oli just sort of has to mainly march around the stage, shout at the crowd and bark a few lines of each song. It's a shame in a lot of ways as they're not as good sound wise live because of it. However, surprisingly I'm ok with it as it does add to their whole performance and generally he is a pretty good frontman.

For the years I've been to Leeds, the top 3 atmospheres each time have been:

2010: Limp Bizkit, Paramore, Blink-182

2011: The Offspring, 30 Seconds To Mars, Rise Against

2012: The Courteeners, Foos, Kasabian.

Keep in mind I only went for the day in '10 & '11.

    • It was always going to be the cost. stuff like this:
    • Man/Woman/Chainsaw anyone? Still 4-5 secret sets to be filled.   New album out today and Rough Trade friendly.
    • can't edit, but just to add to the above:   i get that the last bit is meant to reinforce the message that they are all horrible people and closing ranks to cover up what has happened and carry on with their lives while poor Celeste is left alone with her trauma...   i get it thematically, i just really hated the way it was on screen and i say that my ending would have made for a better movie.   🙂
    • Sadly, the ticket map below screams rear 5 blocks not on sale or never have been on sale. Especially when you look at the blue blocks with rows of unsold tickets.   And I say all of this as a big fan of Muse.
    • Personally, I don't think there will be any changes to the queuing system in place for the 2025 sale.  GFL will be aware that true bots are a risk, but they may also see large collectives of organised folks running multiple devices, containers or profiles to get an advantage as bots themselves, and then struggle to know where to draw the line without penalising folks who are simply more on the ball than others.   They will also be acutely aware that engineering tech to close those gaps will cost, and therefore eat into the money they are able to pass to the Charities, without passing those costs on to punters in the ticket price, which they will be cautious of doing especially after a 2 year break and the inevitable media coverage that will get.   This may all be naive and overly trusting of me though.....
