I read something this morning with that player saying that fergie spoke with him the other night. Does his club know?

More to the point, does fergie know that he's been doing what he says he doesn't do?

My point is you'd soon think is it worth it? At first its a wonderful idea but I'd soon start thinking "I could have got n-25% for X team and played n+50% in games."

I don't think it would be that poisonous to him. Its hard to do much worse than Dalglish did and if he is booted out there would be plenty willing to take him on.

Being utterly shit at LFC didn't harm Hodgson much did it? Straight back into a decent Premier League role, where he was again successful, then onto the England Job.

All he needs to do is actually go down with Wigan and his stock will drop similarly as failing at LFC

'The Liverpool fans trying to decide between Guardiola or Mourinho is like me saying I can’t decide whether I’d rather have sex with Scarlett Johansson or Kiera Knightley. They should fall down on their knees and beg Martinez or Rodgers to clear up the shit that Dalgliesh left all over Anfield. If they’re really lucky, Villas-Boas might agree to take the step down from unemployment to managing Liverpool.

I think it’s a shame Dalgliesh is leaving as I was quite enjoying watching him do such a poor job. If they’d let Dalgliesh have another year at Liverpool and given him another hundred million, we might have seen them relegated to the Championship. And the scousers would probably have still tried to pretend he was doing a good job, like a bunch of Schumacher fans trying to pretend that crashing into the back of Bruno Senna was a good way for him to spend his Sunday afternoon on the basis that he used to be quite successful at some point in the long distant past...'

Quite a statement really. I'm not sure he'd have made it in anyway, but surely once Rodwell/Wilshere/Cleverley are fit and playing he won't get in ahead of them? I'd have thought this was his last chance to stake a claim.

I'd like to see him at West Ham next season actually, don't think Gold would pay the wages mind but I think he'd be terrific at club like us. He could become a fans hero again at Relegation/Mid Table premier league team.

Its an odd statement, I cant think of any scenario where he will suddenly become anything more than a squad player, theres hardly mass calls for him to change his mind. He has probably been no worse than most of the midfielders in the squad over the last 2 years, so maybe a bit unlucky, but its hardly a gamechanger if he stays or goes.

Liverpool have also approached Swansea about talking to Rodgers (not been given permission yet tho), as well as other managers including Capello, AVB, Klopp, & Pep.
