and Vienna on the 27th...I'd say he's more likely to turn up at the Olympic Park on the Sunday to finish off 'Twist and Shout' with The Boss, if he doesn't turn up at Wembley to do same on the 15th

Well, the Latitude line-up is hardly stellar, is it? (With the obvious exception of Kraftwerk). Foals headlining?? Made me think about Neil's comment that potential acts for third headliner included some you wouldn't expect to see that high up.

Maybe this year is going to be a lean one after all..

Interesting 'rant', but I think there are plenty of heritage acts I'd rather see than Foals. And I'm a (relatively) young person I suppose.

Foals are great live, and packed out the 2nd stage at Latitude a couple of years ago when they headlined it, so not at all surprised to see them headlining there. But the rest of that lineup is pretty 'meh' for me.

Potentially controversial but I'd like to think they'd have a bit more vision than to book McCartney as a headliner in 2013.

Yup, seems those ones just under the proper biggies are using it loads this year. Fecking annoying if you ask me.

and Yannis makes some good points about Festivals, they really need to start taking more punts on younger bands to stop the pool drying up. As much I'd like to see Pulp headline Glastonbury.and even to an extent apart from them having new material Muse again. It's already been done and it's no good for the future.

Of course. There are too many festivals and they need to be competitive, which drives down the quality of nearly all of them.
