'i was under the impression' is the key term there. I, ME, nobody else. maybe i should've said 'i believe', but i didn't, and i must give my deepest apology for this mistake so dastardly

damn i fell for the oldest trick in the book

and i'm pretty sure that a long time ago in a happier time on these forums Blondie announced a string of dates surrounding Glastonbury and i just thought 'right there's our Legend's slot then' and i've stuck by it since!

I haven't been in this thread too long so i'm hoping someone can enlighten me.

How do we know the fine people at Glastonbury are struggling to find a third headliner? Personally i reckon that all 3 are booked and have been booked for sometime and the Eavis' are keeping us waiting because...they can. What other festival can sell out in 90 minutes without revealing any of the line up.

Would we have it any other way? I mean, what the dickens would we talk about if we knew for sure who was headlining

Stones will happen, I feel it in my bones. It's just a matter of timing. If they have other tickets to flog for anoher major outdoor gig its likely to be announced before glastonbury, in hope that glastonbury goers will do both. I reckon. Brits, followed by one announcement for other gig in march on a monday with tickets on sale by Friday. Clear the majority of tickets , then first week of April announce GLASTO in time for resale. Makes marketing sense.

In mean time all members of stones to make positive noises but not confirm ... My kids will like it, I will have to talk to the rest but I would do it etc, seems a holding statement to me..

    • Had a lovely day in Prague now off to the festival. Very excited hope we all have fun regardless of weather!!
    • Iran are winning. If US aren't going to do the full invasion thing, then they may as well admit defeat and do what is needed to get the strait opened. Iran obviously have decided they can take any pain and stick it out as they have all the cards with this Hormuz thing. But obviously Trump can't admit defeat, and Israel just want this to keep going...and maybe it will carry on like this till after elections in both US and Israel towards the end of this year. God knows how the global economy will be by then.
    • All kicking off in N Ireland, all aided and abetted on videos that get circulated on social media and Elon Musk and Tommy Robinson telling people to take to the streets. Social media needs regulating same as publishers, if they have algorithms that push whatever to people then they are effectively publishers anyway. The problem is just going to get worse and worse.
    • A lot of acts put him up on their Insta seems to have touched a lot of hearts across the industry, didnt know too much about him but read a bit now seems like great guy
