I was driving to work and the radio announced "new single to be played next." I'd heard that morning that Bowie had a new single out so waited through the news/traffic with anticipation. Was absolutely gutted when they played that shite.

More importantly, the one show? WTF, Russy?

Why do you never share this info?

I'm pretty sure that I've made numerous posts on these forums over many weeks prior to the announcements of both dates, saying that BJ would do both shows.

It's certainly the case that BJ were listed as a TBC for IoW long before they were announced for IoW. We couldn't list the Hyde Park show in the same way tho, as we didn't know what the event would be called and we didn't have the dates for it.

Their are horrendous misconceptions about Kasabian simply because Tom is brimming with confidence/arrogance. I put it down to internet forums being full of delicate and sensitive flowers who were picked on at school and who are immediately wary of anything loud and outgoing, and who use stereotyping to snigger at and mock popular culture. Kasabian are far more similar to Primal Scream than they are Oasis.

That's what I think when people say, "oh (insert artist) have an Oasis type crowd. Think of all the dick'eds who are going to be coming to see them blah blah blah" I just don't get it? I walk past dick'eds in the street? Why are people worried about 'dick'eds' being in the crowd? What even constitutes a 'dick'ed'? Just watch the band and stop worrying about 'dick'eds'.

I'm quite aware that I said dick'ed far too many times there :L

Have you ever watched an act, constantly fearing you're going to get covered in piss? Or get started on by "lads" on "charlie" 'cause they're going for everyone else? Or get mugged?

which has all happened around me when i've seen Kasabian.

The crowd 100% affects enjoyment of an act.

guess that puts the rumours to rest that Kanye won't be touring because of his baby - this is closer to the expected birth date than Glasto so Watch The Throne (or Kanye solo) could be back on the cards (also in America though so maybe not). Kings Of Leon also, though. uck

a lot of acts on there i'd like to see - Kendrick Lamar, Beach House, Local Natives, Death From Above 1979, Crystal Castles, Azealia Banks, Best Coast, Japandroids, Dinosaur Jr, Deerhunter and loads more. hope Glasto gets some of them!

Is it just me that reads that Governor's Ball poster as saying it happens near the beginning of June, about three weeks before Glasto, not two weeks after? Which also means it's further from Kanye's baby, doesn't it? Isn't she due in July? Plus, isn't it in New York, near where he lives and thus near where the baby may be born? Personally I don't think the baby comes into any decision making much but if it does, that tells us nothing about Glastonbury.

Dunno if they just read these forums, or they actually have info but....

@Nankydoodle Tight squeeze time wise, but Arctic Monkeys are a virtual given for Friday headline slot, so not likely to happen.

@Lexi75Lou From what I've been told, it's a done deal. 99% certain. Stones still in negotiations for Sat, and Sun is still open.

There's loads on that Governors Ball I'd love to see at Glastonbury and seem realisticish hopes - Nas, Avett Brothers, Grizzly Bear, Animal Collective, Cut Copy, Beirut, Local Natives, Japandroids, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and Wild Nothing please Eavii

    • RIP Roy Hattersley
    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
