Given the excitement of today's announcement I wouldn't want this little gem to be overlooked:

The Wombles are playing Glastonbury!

Brilliant.

They should certainly help with the clean-up...

not really something to admit to.....I always thought I had a bit of rock n roll credability about my first gig...donington 1986 motorhead, def lepp, scorpions ozzy osbourne etc...... then 2 yrs ago my sister reminded me that during xmas 76 (i think) I went to see The Wombles at Cardiffs New Theatre as a 6yr old. So for me I'm gonna re-live my childhood its a must for me :lol:

How did I miss them on the line up list! As a child of the 70s I remember Womble-Mania. Lets hope they've dry cleaned the costumes since then.

When I was a kid I didn't know there was a place called Wimbledon Common and I used to think the line "common are we" was a reference to their social status! ;)
