Hmm interesting most of the people saying the line up is poor are comparing it to the first time they went 10 years ago. Maybe you've changed not the festival ;)

Having said that ive only been going for 4 years and the headliners are great, and so is the nme but the main stage under card is a tad underwhelming

Another point black keys are subbing, they played a few nights at ali pali, and BBC are 3rd played one night at ali pali so maybe there not that out of place in terms of ticket sales

Im definitely thinking Glasto, although even that is very mixed, the good thing with it is that it has 2 stages of well known acts as opposed to R/L's 1. Latitude/Bestival Im debating, they just arent big enough to attract the enough of the bigger names.

16 bands I'd like to see so far! I'd say thats a pretty successful first announcement personally! Bar the headliners really looking forward to The Black Keys, The Shins, The Horrors, Band of Skulls! Amongst others!

I don't actually know what people expect ? .. R+L can't just get bands who aren't together or don't tour, or have their own shows, or are doing other things etc.

This isn't a poor line-up, its just a reflection of music at this moment in time.

Must be hard to book between the popular acts to sell the tickets and the bands the typical R+L crowds want.

I think this is a good mixture.

    • Christ didn't even see that!
    • It does feel very bland. It would certainly spell another year (my third, I think) away from Pyramid headliners for me. That doesn't mean they aren't worthy, though. I don't follow what any of them are up to, as it isn't my thing. Good luck to them.   You would think coming off a fallow year, they would want one big hitter. 'Big hitter' is obviously open to debate, but that was/is Madonna. Let's have it right. The eggs have gone in that basket, and it seems (as far the rumours go) that it's blown up. So now you're left with another plan B/replacement headliner.   I'm still of the opinion that Oasis will do it, before the Oasis thing is all said and done. Probably 2028, if they can come to an agreement. It may transpire that 2027 is bland (or at least to some of us), and 2028 is a bit... wild.   Again, though, none of us categorically know ANY of the headliners, as it stands.
    • Second go.....    Still f**king fantastic - Well done WIlliam Orbit -  Bugman & Trimm Trabb mega tracks - No Distance Left To Run hauntingly Beautiful
