im really struggling to see how enter shikari would take a 5th down spot if tenacious d were to slot in (out of place)

they had an album that reached number 4 in the charts, and was number 1 for the majority of the week

and they are a massive favourite of R and L, maybe they will be slotted in above BBC and then have a couple of bands below enter shikari such as KoRn

I have mixed feelings toward this lineup, there are some great bands that i really want to see, i.e The Cure, The Black Keys, Foos, Odd Future, The Vaccines (although abit high) then there are repeat bookings which make it look dull and unimaginative and some bands just look oddly placed, but then again you don't know what was available to them, i just think its a shame they didnt get a few bands like, Korn, Pixies, Garbage, Jack White, Less Than Jake, Cage The Elephant, Wu-Tang Clan, DFA1979, Public Enemy, Fleet Foxes, Rancid, Dropkick Murphys etc, which i think would of been more refreshing, this is just my opinion of course. :P

Hopefully i will still end up going because at the end of the day its a good weekend of chilling, watching bands and drinking with your mates and getting away from the everyday stresses of life.

how do you not think they will ever headline?

they are typical R/L band and majority at R/L loves them even if they are abit overplayed at the fest

Also they are growing massively in popularity, and with the way melvin is wanting to push new bands up to headline spots i think it could quite easily happen and i would love it :D did you see there crowd last year for an act that was 5th down? it was huge! bigger than when AF headlined

Just don't see them as a wide enough range of audience to headline

But that said,

In 3 years with another album, they could have a bigger more diverse audience.

Or they could release another 'shikari' album and be a Sub headliner.

It's all opinion though.
