The site is rubbish, look for tickets, select price band and event...then request stuck for 10 minutes while it reserves them to tell you there is none left >_>

I want my womens beach volleyball damnit! (and hockey, as I quite look like the look of the venue of whats left and don't fancy diving, would gone for swimming to :()

Well it took a bit of persistence - I think anyone who picked up £20 tickets for anything but football was very lucky - but this morning I picked up some

beach volleyball,

weightlifting,

basketball,

fencing

hockey,

to add to my previous

handball,

football at old trafford

football at wembley

athletics

Add to that blur & all the free stuff in Hyde Park (if you can still get in after everyone finishes work), and I am one happy camper!

I picked up tickets for Spain vs Morroco at old trafford in the football a couple of weeks ago, 20 quid each. Two of my favourite countries when it comes to quality of women.

I really don't get the Torch Relay.

However, I'm really looking forward to the Games themselves. I'm going to see:

- Athletics (including High Jump, Discus, 1500m and 100m Hurdles finals)

- Archery

- Womens' 10m Diving finals

- Mens' Artistic Gymnastics finals

- The Closing Ceremony concert (Blur/New Order/Specials) in Hyde Park

- The Paralympic Closing Ceremony (Coldplay)

I managed to get relatively cheap tickets for all these. Being a veteran of many Glastonbury ticket days stood me well :-)

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
