Nice! I ran off to the ticket website when I saw that and grabed some water polo tickets for 30 quid on my womens hockey day!

Fantastic! :D Shame I couldn't see any swimming tickets apart from football its the one sport I have a slight nterest in. (Plus the venue is outstanding, aside from the massive stands they either side atm :()

Still water polo should be fun:D

Getting rather excited now, watching the GB-Brazil football game on tv :)

Has anyone heard whether you'll be able to drink at football grounds during the Olympics? ie does Heineken's sponsorship overrule the law of the land as we heard it might for the Brazil world cup?

It'll make at least a difference of 10 to the crowd for the Uruguay-UAE game before the GB-Senegal match next week is all I'm saying...

Getting excited now, got tickets for Brazil V Belarus, New Zealand V Egypt next weekend. Have always wanted to see Brazil play and they have a lot of exciting young players. Its harder to get excited about the second match but it could be some fun.

Also going to the final day of the athletics, will be amazing seeing Bolt and Blake in the flesh.

Planning my routes in and out this morning has got me excited. Got 7 sessions over 4 days starting Saturday, basketball, rowing, and swimming. Then a rest followed by athletics on Friday.

Still trying to work out whether I can wangle a long long lunch break to catch the Brownlee brothers in action too...

Olympics off to a good start so. North Korean womens football team just walked off because the organisers displayed the South Korean flag beside the North Korean players on the screen.

P.S. North Korea are the ones with the nuclear bombs.

Slapped my hands over my eyes when they had preview bits on the news earlier. Is nothing a surprise anymore? We're told what a politicians gonna say in there speech before they even say it, then things like this. Pah

Held a torch as well today. Can't wait to get the show on the road :D

The atmosphere at Old Trafford last night was brilliant, real family stuff. Bit of a shame about the GB performance, but there we go. An attendance of 72,000 is nothing to be sniffed at either.

    • Very probable. I was a bit surprised by the crowd I saw in the video they drew, and I say that as a big feeder fan. I thought they’d draw a really good sized crowd but it looked rows deep. Chuffed for them though. Still think they’re a great band after all these years.  Rumours at they’re doing a Polythene tour next year too.
    • It sounds like Feeder drew a crowd too big for that stage originally. Given the time period they haven’t appeared at Download as well it's a nostalgia thing. Halestorm vs Feeder wasn't the most ideal but leaving after either to get out would have been sweet at least.
    • You cant see everything unfortunately, it would be Halsey there for me 100%, the last 20/25 of Gorillaz. Halsey would be my non negotiable act on that day myself. Oddly Bleech 9:3 would actually give me an option I wouldn't mind between 3:15pm and Halsey. Dogstar would only likely be a 10 minutes thing of I've seen Keanu lol.
    • I think the tent was just right for Feeder, on that day anyway.   If you had a Biffy-esque day again, or someone of that ilk (maybe Pearl Jam for example), whack them on that main stage. 100%.    As it is, I think feeder will be back and probably high up the second stage or main stage next year or 2028.
    • I think we still have 2 acts to announce each day, maybe one more big name to complete the lineup?   Perhaps the big name is Turnstile on Thursday, which isn't sold out yet. And some other names that could be added like Iceage, Band of Horses or Tomora.
