Indeed. I would have to choose AF over U2 if they clashed, but to be honest, much as I'd LOVE to see primal scream perform screamadelica (which alot of people, including myself, seem to be expecting) I'd actually skip that for U2, which is something I never thought I would say/type.

The crowd's reaction to the edge last year just makes me think that a U2 headline slot would be the kind of good feel, singalong funtimes that is not to be missed, only the shear tumultuous joy that the arcade fire can bring could drag me away from that one. I have said before, I'd give my left nut to see AF at glastonbury...the idea of being in that crowd while such extatic music is being played...well, it gives me goosebumps.

I'd love it if PS don't clash, but them's the breaks and we all know it.

Seriously, why would anyone chose to watch Arcade Fire over U2?

One is average church like live band with lots of people playing their instruments pretty badly and the other possibly the biggest band in the world that is renowned for its live shows. Name one person in Arcade Fire that plays one of its instruments like the Edge?

Yeah Bono is a bit of a twat but looking beyond that, I have no doubt that they will put on a show that goes down in Glastonbury history.

I'm really hoping that Arcade Fire are not on before U2 as I wouldn't want to put myself having to listen to them live again in my life time having suffered twice before ;)

Arcade Fire or Chemical Brothers vs U2 or Coldplay would kill me. I know the Coldplay Chems combo is likely but hoping the libs rumour is false and its Chems instead.

Arcade Fire before U2, Coldplay, Chems would be my perfect festy headliners for this year! ph34r.gif Screw this Beyonce bullsh*t! laugh.gif

...wishful thinking on the swap though sad.gif

Arcade Fire before U2 would be superb stuff. I'm slightly concerned that it would lead to a silly-sized crowd for The Pyramid (which always seems to draw a big crowd on the Friday anyway). Think it would have to be at least The Chems on the Other; Primal Scream just won't cut it (especially if anyone at Glasto's seen them before...)
