According to compare my radio.com Sorted has had 37 plays over the last 30 days on major radio stations, whereas Common People has had 124, although many live versions have been played. The winner is... Disco 2000, however, with a supposed 137 plays. Cheeky.

Different Class was a similar success as Urban Hymns so I'd say Pulp can def headline again - they've done it twice before.

I don't think Pulp have as much big songs as The Verve, I can't see them headlining the Pyramid, The Other Stage is a good shout thou.

It seems TITP have maybe bagged them, so they are about and doubt they'd miss coming back to Glastonbury.

As far as 'big songs' go, The Verve have Bittersweet Symphony and The Drugs Don't Work, perhaps Lucky Man and Sonnet as well. Pretty similar to Pulp really.

Going on chart positions alone - Pulp had five top 10 singles (six Songs really seeing as Sorted and Mis-shapes was a double single) and The Verve had four (one of which was a track off the 2008 album, which came out around the same time as they headlined Glasto anyway - although to be fair, I reckon Sonnet probably would have made the top 10 if it had been released properly)

So thats 5-4 to Pulp, 6-4 to Pulp, 6-3 to Pulp, 6-5 to Pulp or a 5-5 draw depending on how you look at it...
