They only cancelled one American show and only have a couple left to play, although not completely sold out they've done close to 20 gigs in 5000-10000 capacity arenas and by all accounts they've all been 90-95% full. Can't wait 'til the UK dates.

Superb band, Superb live.... but the reason for the lack of sales is due to the price. £50 a ticket is waaaay too much. As good as they are live, and as cool as the music is.... £50 is a massive no. I would have gone to a show if it was cheaper.

Gorillaz, headlined friday to A chatting quietly dissapearing crowd (including me) plus i'm a fan, to think the day started with the Legend known as Rolf Harris, with everyone singing, & high expectations, what A crowd I was priveleged to be amongst, maybe Damon should check out his didgerdoo pmsl, because for 80 he needed no snoop (what's me name) dog

I got to say, I didn't go and see Gorillaz (can't remember what I was doing, probably mooching around Shangri La / Arcadia) but that clip above of Clint Eastwood is f**king fantastic. I sort of wish I'd gone to see them. Looks f**king brilliant.

I can tell you that the LA show was nearly full at the Gibson.

It turned out to be one of the better shows I've seen this year. (I walked at Glasto after a few songs for a variety of reasons.)

If you class losing half your audience in the first 5 songs excellent then fair play I guess. The gorillaz set was wrong for a pyramid crown and plastic beach was comercially a failure. Nobody around me even knew the set had even started and just carried on chatting.

If you're only interested in commercial acts then god knows why you went to see Gorillaz, they're clearly not for you. Hopefully you'll enjoy Take That next year though.

I'm still conflicted about Gorillaz. I didn't hate their set like everyone else seems to have, but I do agree that it wasn't the type of set that most would expect for a festival headliner. However, there were some real gems that people were just too narrow-minded to appreciate, but there were also some glaring flaws. Namely setlist pacing, a spectacle that didn't live up to the hype, and not enough of the s/t and Demon Days material. A lot of these issues have been fixed at the recent shows, though. Better setlists, Empire Ants finally got some visuals, they finally remembered that a video for DARE has existed for years, more interaction, etc. On the plus side, everything sounded fantastic live. The string section and backup singers really enhanced the experience. Snoop performing Clint Eastwood was brilliant, the Little Dragon songs were slices of heaven, and how cool was it to witness Mark E Smith's sinister, incoherent rambling? And Lou Reed decomposing on-stage with members of The Clash?

It absolutely pisses me off that New York and LA got 19-2000 with Miho Hatori, but nobody else did. How are you going to play festival crowds to over 75,000 people and not include 19-2000 in the set? Come on. The other shows on the North American tour have 19-2000, but not with Miho. Also, Del should have been included on the tour.

And the Glasto set was a lot better than Coachella. They didn't even play DARE, had nobody rapping on Clint Eastwood, half of the scheduled guests were stranded due to Xenu's volcano, and the set awkwardly ended with Cloud of Unknowing with people going "And here comes DARE, right? 19-2000? Wait, why are the lights on? That's it?"

The MEN actually has a 24 hour licence (hence Guns 'n' Roses could carry on until they or the audience got bored). However, most shows finish before 11:00 to give people chance to get the last bus/train.
