Apparently Young is doing his medical at Man Utd at the moment. With a fee of close to 20 million being rumoured. If we can get sneijder too then ill be more than happy with that

Is that so?Why exactly?

You've had one good season in the Premiership and a decent one last year. You were average at best in the Europa Cup,a competition that Rangers managed to go all the way to the final in afew years back on a shoe string budget while heavily in debt not spending the hundreds of millions that your team has.

Just because you have money does not make you a force.Chelsea have spent big and I still wouldn't call them a force within Europe,a title contender in England yes.

As far as im concerned City are still no bigger than a Spurs or a Liverpool.

Man Utd are clearly a far more attractive proposition to sign for due to their stature, history, current form and club set up.A team that is a TEAM not a collection of egos, players that are bred to win and that play for each other and a manager who brings stability and will be there until he decideds he wants to leave.

If Sanchez went to United i guess they won't be following up interest in Sneijder or Modric. If they did they'd have a packed midfield ( unless they offloaded people like Park Ji-Sung, Carrick, Anderson etc)

Ashley Young

Alexis Sanchez

Wesley Sneijder

Luka Modric

Darren Fletcher

Nani

Ryan Giggs

Antonio Valencia

Michael Carrick

Park Ji-Sung

Anderson

Tom Cleverley

Darron Gibson

thats enough talent for 3 Good Premiership Teams!

A lot is said about what is needed to compete with the current barcelona team and my view is teams should just focus on improving and ignore barcelona, they are one of the greatest club sides ever and there has to be an element of hoping you catch them on a good day. What Barcelona have, cannot be bought with money. In my opinion a team could buy the best non barcelona player in each position and would still lose to barca the majority of times.

yes your right, i don't think any top star in the game overly wants to play for city. its obviously the money factor an maybe slightly the massive ambition of the club. i think Roberto mancini has done great for city since he arrived. yes he's had to ruffle some feathers but so what he's proved it works. i don't think city have had any more problems than any other big club this year, i just think we have been way over publicised because of the money. what come with that is people trying to mount loads of pressure on us. some of witch must be down to jealousy, but the results speak for them self's 3ed in the epl, getting auto qualification to the champions league, an winning the F.A cup it a great achievement.an yer barca don't want to sell villa, but its bin said they will offer him to city or Chelsea for 40mill. because barca are broke an need cash to fund there three big transfers fabregas, sanchez, and rossie. i really don't think villa is worth 40mill... not at 29 an i iv never been overly convinced by him.

Sunderland have signed Conner Wickham for £12m. Pricey for a youngster but long term i'd say that's a great piece of business. His goal against Sheffield Utd last season was awesome, when he runs at players they just seem to back away from him. The way he advances on defenders reminds me of Torres when he first signed for Liverpool.

I'm suprised he hasn't been picked up by one of the bigger clubs to be honest.

I think the price might be off putting for some teams. The likes of man city and chelsea probably are looking more to the present than the future. The likes of liverpool, arsenal, spurs probably think its too much to pay for a reserve. While the likes of Everton probably cant afford him!

So Aquilani back to Pool then? Odd move. Especially if they sell Meireles. Aquilani was average (He IS average) for Juve this season, despite what people will say. Says it all when Juve wont cough up 11 million for him but they will pay that amount for Milos Krasic.

Although Aquilani has just completed his first full season ever so could be a springboard for him?

I'd have him. Said it before and say it again, he's got a lot of talent.

In the last two PL seasons who has more assists? Modric or Aquilani? The latter. And Aquilani only played less than half of that season...
