Blackpool sure show alot of spirit >_>, not bad in attack either. Reckon they'll get some good results at home.

We would have won today if we actually had a left back, this Mexican guy wasn't ready for today, still good showing from both sides and a draw was fair. Our attack looks alot better under Hughes now and we'll score alot more goals this season, just need to hope this Salcido is a good signing - Dembele looks really good thus far.

Shame about Stoke away as I'm hoping fulham put a cup run together, still a winnable game against a side who need some points.

Just to add, they've made a bit of a deal on MOTD2 that 11 of these players weren't in the world cup squad. That's mostly down to:

- 3 being injured (Ferdinand, Terry, Lampard)

- 4 retiring/being too old/unfit (James, Carragher, Heskey, King)

So really he's just made 4 proper changes to his world cup squad, which is Joe Cole (who'll no doubt be back once he's settled at Liverpool), Green (who's proved he's not good enough), Lennon (who'll no doubt be back) and Warnock.

Wow!!

Still no Rodwell, as going into the World Cup the biggest concern was with no Barry there was no one going to fill the defensive midfield role and if you are gonna breed in the youngsters now get Rodwell in the squad now as I can't see anyone else filling those boots in the long term apart from him.

I know he is alreasy in the aquad but regarding the centre back position. I would convert huddlestone. I honestly think the days of your traditional english (good at heading and tackling but have no skill and are uncomfortable on the ball) centre back succeeding at international football are over.

Agreed, which is why we're so poor at keeping clean sheets at international level. The thing is that it's our lack of pace at the back that really hurts us though. You can be the best passer in the world, but with the speed of the top forwards now, without a real quick turn of speed, you're screwed.

    • Same’s happened at MSG recently with Rush and Phish alternating nights. I guess each band has its own unique production so their riggers will be kept busy
    • The rumour was uk arena tour late this year.  Same as Charli xcx cant be announced until Reading headline is done.
    • Latest from the sun at least is that harry is still headlining but Olivia has turned down a spot next year to work on new music and hope for 2028.   So they can't have Fender, Fontaines, Harry, Olivia and Madonna.
    • I mean I don't think EC and FFDP are borderline sub, they wouldn't be any lower now.   2025 is about as strong as Bloodstock gets yet this year only one headline would sub and the others would play 3rd down or lower.    Machine Head wouldn't sub at Download regardless of rarity, they don't sell enough tickets and I'm not sure Gojira would sub either. Their last UK tour was a mix of smaller arenas and academy dates. Ally Pally being the only London date, not even Wembley Arena.
    • live music / main stage will generally end around 11pm but theres dj’s and late goings on right till 4am if you are so inclined.   Drinks are about £7.50 a pint probably and yes theres lots of mixed drinks / spirits / cocktails available to buy   wonderful festival, back for my third year in a row and 4th overall
