If someone had pulled out then I doubt delaying the announcement by 24 hours would make a blind bit of difference? Its not like they could replace them.

Either it is to do with the election or Emily simply made a mistake (we all make them) and accidentally tweeted the wrong day in the original tweet.

If the tickets have not sold quite as well as the festival hoped then the anouncement will more than likely be before the 11th. If the announcement comes out on the tenth does it really matter. Virtually everone has their tickets thou personally I would prefer the anouncement to come after the resale just to make Sunday easier.

looking at all of that it was never going to be the line up (and it shouldnt be either - whats wrong with the end of may, early june?) - just 'stage announcements

from what Emily and others told scottie & me just over a week ago, there's defo bands being announced .... and it sounds like it's going to be at least 20 or so, quite possibly over a hundred (depending how far down the stages the announcement goes).

Don't get me wrong, I'm desperate to know who's playing, but if this is any more than "The Jazz World's changed its name and Stevie Wonder's playing" then colour me surprised

Sounds good. So an extra 24 hours until the boards are littered with multiple threads moaning about a certain band!

I really think as the years go by, people expect more news far quicker. Normally, we'd all be in a post-ticket day stupor (it would have been Sunday) but because most of us secured them months and months ago, many people are frustrated with the lack of news especially with other festivals announcing their line ups.

Although I'm obviously excited about any potential news (I'm sure there'll be a couple of names announced who will make me do a little dance of joy), I do hope they don't announce too much - part of the fun of the build up is the guessing and speculation!

but the sooner we know the bands, the sooner we can hassle halvin to do his clashfinder and the sooner we can plan out our unrealistic arrangement

I dont think any amount of announcements will have Halvin working any earlier on the aul CF........he really does rely on the final line ups as they go to print and is working hard the two weeks up to the fest......but anything before then will be all over the place...........
