But they don't realy have any excuse at being so lazy with announcements. Glastonbury isn't exempt from criticism.

Neither is it exempt from stupidity. :P

Just because it's not doing exactly what you demand when you demand it doesn't mean that everything else that follows from your mouth is reasonable.

There's very good reasons why things happen when they do, and Glastonbury is the better for them.

Funnily enough, there's also good reasons why things elsewhere happen when they do - including that Glastonbury is better than them. :P

I actually think that would be great fun, walk through the gates and get given the programme. Although it is always nice to get into the back catalogues of bands you find out are playing. I might try it one year, although I'd have to find something to do with all the time I spend on here.

Yeah I know that. I'm going to Glastonbury as I've been to loads of festivals before and have had it reccomended a few times by others and it looks pretty decent.

But they don't realy have any excuse at being so lazy with announcements. Glastonbury isn't exempt from criticism.

Yeah - the reason they haven't announced any acts is down to laziness. Lazy bastards.

:P

They do it differently, Poges. That doesn't mean it's laziness!! They also let you take beer from your tent to the front of the stages. Why do you think that is? Because they're too lazy to create an 'arena' and put people on the gates to police it properly?!

Why does one negative comment get drawn in to an attack against Glastonbury. Well done to them on that. It'd good. You do realise I'm going don't you, and that I'm going for other things than the line up.

It is okay to say some negative things, and there will be a lot of negative things about Glastonbury, along with the positive.

It's also healthy to point out negative things that smaller and less well off festivals seem to manage that Glastonbury don't seem to be able to.

You don't think they've booked one single band done and dusted they could actualy say "yeah here they are" after all this time.

For christ sake Neil, some people do geniunely buy tickets on near sure rumour of decent line up and want to know something, anything.

It realy is as simple as that to be fair.

No, what's simple here is your view of how it all works.

Did anyone else find this topic title really confusing (didn't realise it was posted yesterday)

Took a worrying ammount of time for the Penny to drop.

Just me?

I'll get my coat.

Ps.struggling to contain my excitement, will be useless at work tomorrow until the announcement is made.

:P It's worth a try or do what I do these days. Spend hours pouring over who's playing when, where etc and get all worked up about a couple of bands clashing. Walk in the gates, get my lanyard thing and within 5 minutes have flung it, totally forgotten by the Friday which day it is anyway so absolutely no use. Occasionally borrow one to find out who I'm supposed to be seeing to get sidetracked by something else on the way. If I try to go by the timetable and programme I send myself mental, it's just not worth it. Choose a band a day you really, really must see and then if you see the rest great, if not you can rest assured you will discovered something new. :P

    • I’ve said it elsewhere too but Emily Eavis said a 2028 headliner was booked, to me that’s only going to be someone the size of Oasis or Taylor Swift
    • Christ didn't even see that!
    • It does feel very bland. It would certainly spell another year (my third, I think) away from Pyramid headliners for me. That doesn't mean they aren't worthy, though. I don't follow what any of them are up to, as it isn't my thing. Good luck to them.   You would think coming off a fallow year, they would want one big hitter. 'Big hitter' is obviously open to debate, but that was/is Madonna. Let's have it right. The eggs have gone in that basket, and it seems (as far the rumours go) that it's blown up. So now you're left with another plan B/replacement headliner.   I'm still of the opinion that Oasis will do it, before the Oasis thing is all said and done. Probably 2028, if they can come to an agreement. It may transpire that 2027 is bland (or at least to some of us), and 2028 is a bit... wild.   Again, though, none of us categorically know ANY of the headliners, as it stands.
