they are amazing live every time!

Love a bit of 2 bears tho, also for hot chip fans, Al Doyle's band New Build are playing on the Sunday on Williams Green and they are really very, very good!

I bought their album and its brilliant! Highly reccomended for hot chip fans. They arent the same, but they arent too dissimilar either if you get what I mean.

There is a Hot Chip world exclusive on Zane Lowe's show tonight apparently.... I'm probably clutching at straws but I have my fingers crossed for something Glastonbury related!

Hot Chip were incredible at Latitude this year, so very very fun, had the entire Obelisk field (standing area) dancing for their whole set, I actually thought they stole the show from Kraftwerk (and Sarah Jones pulled an extra overtime shift, drumming for Bloc Party the night before). They'd be brilliant at Glastonbury, even the ropey sound on the Other couldn't stop the good vibes from radiating out into the crowd.

I don't know why he wasn't there, but it's Bloc Party, so the reason probably is that one of them wanted to make a dance record, but they all definitely do still like each other and definitely aren't splitting up, why would you even suggest that?

Both Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Hot Chip, who played third and second down on main stage respectively, at Latitude this year were much better than the regrettably disappointing Bloc Party, and arguably both a bigger draw than plucky little Foals.

Hot Chip are not touring in 2014

they are of course brilliant and should be right up there at the top of the tree at many festivals. always been ace at glasto and were wonderful with chic at the warehouse project in November 2013

    • RIP Roy Hattersley
    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
