Yeah the mud seemed to appear instantaneously on the Thursday last year as soon as it started raining, kinda glad it did as it meant there was little dust over the next few days. Anyone who doesn't take some kind of waterproof footwear is asking for trouble frankly.

I couldn't believe how quickly the entrance to silver hays became really muddy or how quickly it tried up the next day.

I loved the Summer House last year, saw good old Mik Artistik there among others. Really chilled and fun. Wouldn't be so good if there was any r**n though!

Saw a weird dance act there with a ginger fella so perfectly shaped it stopped all other thought. I'm not sure I'd even call it fancied, it was like looking at awesome engineering rather than a person

Very odd acts, lovely place to pause with foods and drinks

Some of mine from 2009 - that last one killed me, didn't see it till I got home and I just cried laughing. Cant remember the name of the band, or where I saw them. But I am pretty sure they were ace!

Sorry for the quality of the photos by the way

    • I don't really worry about headliners (unless there's a real possibility of a once-in-a-lifetime artist landing for it) but I'm starting to feel a bit cold on the names floating around bar Fontaines.  Harry Styles and Sam Fender, I can see the value and commercially speaking, they've earned it.  Sabrina Carpenter is obviously popular enough to do it - but after she's headlined everywhere else and done Coachella earlier this year, is it not just a bit predictable to follow what other festivals have done?
    • Bollocks to “safe” headliners, bollocks to the masses. Get interesting, get risky, challenge people.
    • The Cure would be a dream, I can definitely see them doing a second run of festivals they may have missed this year and they seem the definitive Latitude act  If they do festivals next year maybe The Strokes could be a shout? Im stunned either them or Kings of Leon haven't played yet This is a great shout for names, youre right that CMAT is taking a year out though - we're like to know more in the autumn when festivals start making announcements  The only other act I'd really love to see is Idles headline the tent
    • Very sad for Greazy Alice
    • Nino 3.4 anomaly already in 'very strong' (>2.0C) territory.  That's very impressive for July which is still early days for El Nino development.
