Here's some more good news. This is from a mate who's a forecaster at the met office. His forecasts have been pretty much spot on the last 2 years:

"Weather for Glasto looking very good - mainly dry, settled, warm. Take suncream (keep wellies on hand in case something changes!). But yeah, only a low risk of the odd shower and might be warm to very warm category (if that's not too technical!)."

The weather is decided. I have a pig of a toothache. The dentist has patched it up temporarily, and prescribed me penicillin. But it still hurts like hell, and the followup appointment isn't until after Glastonbury.

So my festival will be spoiled by a toothache. I don't see how the Fates could in good conscience punish me with both that *and* rain, therefore it's going to be dry throughout.

Met Office:

UK Outlook for Tuesday 22 Jun 2010 to Thursday 1 Jul 2010:

Most areas of the UK should see plenty of fine and dry weather next week, with extended sunny periods and just a low risk of some showers developing inland from time to time. Northwestern areas may well be cloudier with occasional rain, although there should be periods of drier and brighter weather here too. Winds will be fresh at times in the northwest, but should stay light or moderate elsewhere. Beyond the weekend, many areas will remain mainly dry but there is a risk of more unsettled weather spreading from the west. Temperatures are expected to be warm at first, locally very warm in the southeast, but are likely to return to near normal in northern and western parts towards the end of the month.

Anbesol and copious amounts of whiskey are your friends!....had a bitch of a toothache at EP a couple of years back, sweet liquor certianly eases the pain (with the occasional dab of benzocaine!)...

As I have previously mentioned a mate of mine owns/runs netweather.tv.......his words to me are

"My weather forecaster says currently weds light rain, mild thurs less rain, getting warmer, gets better for the weekend but poss chance of light rain most days"

Not quite sure what to make of that.

    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
