Yep, sure was perfect weather for me and my gang. We were tempted to complain once or twice after a whole day of sweaty sun was still beaming down on our white skins at 8pm in the evening but we just slapped our faces, shook our heads and just looked at each other in shock and awe!! :D

Perfect festival, perfect weather. NRNC 2011, but can this really happen twice in a row?

I loved this year. More like this please. Got a bit wobbly on Friday which I put down to too much beer and not enough shade/water, but rather that than fighting through mud and getting filthed to fcuk.

NRNC 2011. You know it makes sense.

  • 5 weeks later...

A couple of years ago there were a number of people who thought it'sd be a good idea to move Glastonbury to August.

Looking at the state of V last weekend, and Reading this weekend, those people should now be feeling a little sheepish!

I put the good weather at Glastonbury this year.....and Vfestival in Chelmsford on Saturday(only had day ticket).....down to that fact that I bought my daughter and myself brand new designer Kagoules! They remain unmolested in their fancy stuff bags and have only been used as cushions.

Yes, my other half went out and bought a pair of Hunter wellies for Glastonbury this year, after getting fed up of cheaper wellies leaking or breaking. Needless to say he didn't wear them once. However, £55 is a small price to pay for a sunny Glastonbury!

It's glorious sunshine here "tup" North today, I am so happy, having just tucked into a lovely baby risotto, delish.

I'll splash out £55 on a new pair of Hunters if anyone thinks it will help the weather next year...

August isn't like it used to be, well not like I remember from being a kid. I reckon the best part of the year for weather is possibly April/May/June, which luckily for us all covers next year's Glasto!

Stroll on ticket day!

    • Considering how popular of a booking Scooter have been I think they'd go down well
    • I mean I think unless you are camped in a particular bit which apparently you just get no sleep i feel it would be better setup to travel in from a hotel each day and back. Ah there is so many downfalls to it for me, I think the Download main stage area is so much better and that's coming from me. If you're camped in green to go round all the time and out for lidl and even water is stupid!
    • Did you camp or go for a hotel? I looked into it briefly and seems easy enough to get back to Nuremberg.
