Jackone didn't really mention it but you can see from the ensembles (squiggles) he posted that the GFS 12z is a massive outlier, none of the other runs (out of 20 I think?) really seem to follow the wet scenario.

So i'd say ignore that run and all the automated output from it (metcheck/TWO) this evening.

When the GFS was good we were always warning that you couldn't trust GFS. Now it's bad there is no need to panic. The 12UTC ECM is good all the way to Saturday so far, so nothing to worry about. Worst possible case is:

but I'm sticking with:

I'm going with this.........

Again previously mentioned its a World Cup summer always a scorcher...and my mate Geoff has done 20 various festivals over the years (Reading, Download etc etc) always dry and sunny when he goes..and he's doing his first Glasto this yr...nailed on sun imo.

In fact I wonder what odds the bookies will give me on a rain free Glasto?

ECM is from here.

Furthermore, this is the GFS ensemble precipitation for Somerset:

The green line is the dodgy GFS run, but look at the red line which is the average of all their sources. So even the GFS ensembles have a dry one. :)

Rightio, JACKONE has added some more - HERE

Last paragraph:

ECM 12Hz This tends to fall more into line with GFS in terms of edging the High pressure away from the UK to the west this weekend, however it rebuilds next week to varying strengths and this should keep mostly dry and settled weather across Glastonbury for next week, although one or signs that it might turn a little more unsettled for the weekend.

A generally good summary this evening with 4 of the 5 outputs going for mostly settled conditions, with the GFS 12Hz being much worse. However on a down side, there isn't that much difference synoptically between the GFS 12Hz and the others. On his basis, I am taking a punt and deceasing the chance of a wet festival to 40%.

...quote from most reason post on the netweather model output discussion...

.."Great runs tonight, the potential for finally getting a good old stormy setup on the GFS and UKMO and the potential for a heatwave which would be nice for all the lucky Glastonbury people on the ECM, looking nice all round really, im guessing this weekend won't be as cool as forecast anyway."....

i'm going to leave it with that tonight..

    • Steven Wilson Jr touring would be a good fit.   Brian Fallon (Gaslight Anthem) as he’s touring too next year.   Royston Club. Kingfshr. Bleachers. Spacey Jane. Gang Of Youths. Overpass
    • 90,000 on a single for day or over the weekend?   if it was for the whole weekend that’s disastrous   Given camping didn’t sell out unless they in effect transferred a lot of camping captivity to Chappell Roan day tickets 90,000 is absolute capacity there I think, so it would be hard to believe   i think it’s from the year before but the TPD tv footage when the killers are headlining makes it look like it’s at best half full
    • A part of me thinks weirdly they might hold off on Chaka/Robbie until they have a year where nobody else who fits the bill is available. This slot takes a very specific set of criteria, and I can't imagine they're flushed with options who are on tour and would take the smaller payday every year. Both Chaka and Robbie have expressed interest in doing it, so they're bankers for a year where fewer options are available. Which may well be 2027.
    • Chaka and Robbie got to have decent chances due to previous reports
