  2. Gutted I missed Candi last year, but it was necessary to find a spot for Reg. Minimal chance I’ll get another opportunity to see her.

  6. Yup - simz, streets, orbital problem is baaaaad (particularly as I’d accept any of them as a headliner and I don’t have a Saturday one yet!)
  7. The Streets V Lil Simz…. Just why?
  8. From 10am, so fine if you've been to bed at about 2, awful if you've finally stumbled back at 6:30am
  9. The new Aitch track is dire tbf

    Glastonbury Jobs

This one also seems ridiculously low pay considering the skills needed and the responsibilities. Sure everyone has a price and no doubt theres some perks, but £12.50ph to oversee a large part of the festivals logistics for 20 days. Bit tight if you ask me.
  12. Brown is another level to Green for sure, that run from Lush through to Walk Now is phenomenal.
  13. I got some really good Hi Tec ones from this website a good few years back and they've served me well https://www.sportsshoes.com/store/hi-tec
  14. Early ideas of set times/days are starting to come out, in addition to early clashfinders. What are you angst-inspiring clashes in 2024? As it stands, mine is Orbital/Streets/Ocean Colour Scene on Saturday. Coupled with the fact that my girlfriend is set on Coldplay, which at least two of them overlap.
  15. Tottenham wanted arsenal to win so helped them with the first goal.
  16. Everton are guaranteed a hattrick with Jimmy Melville as a shareholder. Comedy club comedy shareholder. : p
  17. It's beyond me how this band is not bigger? (Sunday, "The Buzz" stage). If you are missing bands and rock from the lineup, check them out.

    Clashfinder 2024

Been using Halvin’s clashfinder since my first Glastonbury in 2004. blue: must see (thus far none this year) green: will see unless clash with blue or another green orange: like to see, will make an effort to, but if logistics and the above two make it impossible. So be it. red: artist I know/like and can fill any blanks in my schedule unshaded: little/no interest, probably unknown to me. These are my research artists if I still have gaps in my schedule If Halvin’s current effort is correct. The Orbital/Streets/OCS clash is three greens clashing and here we have a problem. So far only 4 greens all weekend.
  19. I seem to have a habit of killing off the older acts there's been a few who have passed soon after I saw them. (These below aren't from glasto) Gil Scott heron. And I can't remember his name but a big fat blues singer who sat in a throne on stage. John Holt who collapsed on stage two songs into his set and died about a week later. There's more but I forget who right now.
  20. It was a bit of a fluke of circumstances. We tried to sign another player on transfer deadline day which fell apart due to an administration error. This left us only able to sign free agents and that’s a pretty small pool when the window has shut. 8 goals in 33 games is decent return for someone who plays 15 minutes most games. We tried to start him (you can see he is a class above) but he doesn’t really have the legs and despite scoring a hat trick one game generally worked better as a substitute. Great character in the dressing room as well and will be missed if he moves on.
  21. Tour DG confirmed. https://www.neptunepinkfloyd.co.uk/david-gilmour-tour-confirmed-in-uncut-magazine-interview
  22. No originals in the current touring act. Hasn't been for a few years.
  23. I have no doubt they would have raised their game to some extent. When Wrexham won beat the points record in the national league last season I think it was largely due to being pushed all season. Chesterfield this season we’re on course for a similar total but faded when winning the league with games to spare. So I agree they would also have upped their points, but if a team as good as City had been around then, there is no way Man Utd win as much.
  24. I had cause to look this up earlier today. I have no idea what it's like, but thought I'd 'present' it, in case anyone was on a restricted budget; https://www.onbuy.com/gb/p/camping-sleeping-self-inflating-mat-10cm-thick-lightweight-single-camp-air-bed-and-connectable-double-camping-pads-and-compact-inflatable-roll-camping~p72925485/?exta=cjunct&stat=eyJpcCI6IjE3LjIwIiwiZHAiOiIwLjAwIiwibGlkIjoxMTc4MjE3NjksInMiOjQ4LCJ0IjoxNzE0MTExMjQzLCJibWMiOjB9&source=cj&AID=15292021&CJEVENT=5420f944055c11ef82354d210a18b8f8&extac=4023395

    UK Politics

I'm revising my opinion about the greens maybe winning in Bristol I've just Heard on the local TV news what their election strategy is. A big dose of antisemitism to get the big Bristol Muslim vote. Guess they've forgotten about the sizable Jewish population. Much smaller than the Muslims. But probably more active in spreading the word.
