2000 Trees 2027

Never too early to start discussing next year’s headliners right?

I’m not attending this year so thought I’d get the ball rolling as I saw Weezer have a new album out in August I’d expect them to do this or Slam Dunk next year. I mean they’re probably too big for this however I think they’re niche enough that they would maybe do it, it just depends on if the fee is a bit out of range for trees.

It’ll be the 20th anniversary next year so I’d expect some throwbacks and hopefully some big headliners/acts. James has already said he’s made a mad booking that you wouldn’t guess & I think he mentioned that he’s spent something like 80% of this years budget of next years top line already on last weeks 2 promoters 1 pod (Don’t quote me on that).

I reckon they’ll try for and get at least two (not all) of the following - Enter Shikari, AFI, Weezer, Sex Pistols Feat Frank Carter, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls

I think a Take to the Skies set would probably be the thing that gets me to go to this. Couldn't give a f**k whatelse is on there if that happens.

Feel like Knocked Loose might be too big by that point.

2000 Trees 2026 is dead long live 2000 Trees 2027

I have such a huge wishlist of bands I'd love to see there next year but if I had to pick one, I'm absolutely dying to see The Barbarians Of California and think they'd be great at Trees

Hoping for ATP Menzingers anniversary set & Billy Talent. Anything else a bonus! Haven’t been since 24 so gonna look at getting early bird this week as I’ve missed it.

ATP Menzingers would be brilliant. If they could get Alkaline Trio and Thursday rebooked with that it'd be great.

It would be cool if Frank Turner opened the main stage on Thurs to kick off the birthday celebrations... He's headlined plenty so a different slot would make it feel more unique

That's why I'm thinking, he should definitely be there cause of the history they share but I think a headline set is wasted by having him

Slight tangent, but has James ever discussed Wolf Alice properly on the podcast? They played years ago in 2014, but I think they'd be a brilliant headliner choice - albeit arguably too big. I know James has been critical of UK indie acts before, but Wolf Alice seem a lot more suitable for Trees than the likes of Kasabian or whatever.

Where are all the speculations of Reuben coming from?

I'd love Enter Shikari Take To The Skies 20th anniversary set but could also see them doing Outbreak to do that album.

Jamie Lenman seems to have little appetite for reforming Rueben so I’d be very surprised.

Saying that, he said that he’s retired from music but he’s back this year at Arctangent.
