Green Man 2026

Avalon Emerson dropped her new album Written into Changes last week and it's an absolute banger. It's received impressive reviews from the usual suspects of publications too. She's a total line-up discovery for me, but she's made it onto my 'not to be missed' list.

Thanks for the heads up! Loving this!

What happened to them playing?

The info I got must’ve been bad. Haven’t received info from them before, but I thought with the info I had I could see it happening. Maybe next year, apologies

New Music Friday for GM2026:

Lime Garden and My New Band Believe have both released their new records today. And they're both great!

Can't wait to see the latter's prog-folk at this year's festival. Hoping for Mountain or Walled Garden as their ridiculously complex sound (118 stringed instruments on the album...???!) might get a little lost in Far Out.

Massive fan of Lime Garden's new release but I can't get on with My New Band Believe at all. Probably for the best as clashes will already be heartbreaking.

Yeah, MNBB takes quite a lot of listening, especially if proggy, time-signature changing stuff isn't usually in your wheelhouse!

Saying that, the more I listen to that record, the more excited I am to see them play. Think a more folky, acoustic black midi, but with a lot of the indulgent noodling taken left out!

Hey Gang! A member of our party has just got the wonderful news that she's pregnant. She will be about 4 and a bit months at the time of the festival. Just wondering if anyone here has any experience of doing GM festival pregnant before could share how it was and had any advice of how to make it as good as possible? Seems like the vibe, size and family friendly nature would make it one of the better ones to do, but keen to get some advice. Cheers!

Is that us so until early July folks? Nothing else imminent?

Looked up last year's announcement dates, a few of which I believe were later than usual:

Chai Wallahs 8th May
Last Laugh 15th May
day splits 7th July
Cinedrome 11th July
Einstein’s Garden 15th July
Talking Shop 18th July
Settlement line-up 22nd July

Not Green Man, but did another festival 4 months pregnant. Worth getting in touch with the accessibility team, I was given access to the accessible viewing areas and toilets which really helped! Aside from that, lots of water, the comfiest shoes around and don't plan to see too much as you get knackered easily!

I know the clashfinder is still on the unmitigated horse sh*t setting - but these 2 clashes would be horrendously brutal!

Followed just out of shot by Dry Cleaning/ Aldous and Wilco/ Baxter. Yeah, that would all be problematic. Early days though.

    • It’s rare that I watch question time, but I almost felt sorry for Kenyon, he seemed like a guy just brought off the street which effectively is what he was, made worse by the fact Burnham and the Tory guy were very strong debaters. I think Burnham was very aware not to go too hard on Kenyon and risk him getting sympathy, in fact he pretty much ignored him.
    • Shambles. Transport and comms garbage. Been looking forward to this since last June and have never been to a more disorganised festival in 30+ years.  Why we were told the whole festival was cancelled for the night if they had put back shows for a few hours?  Pissed off to say the very least and put a huge downer on the rest of the weekend.
    • Rotten communication. Actually god awful. Posting sporadically on IG, closing Mordor only to reopen and cause some serious carnage. Left the festival as it got too much for my 16year old daughter. She was devastated about Alex G and Mac…but TV girl could have saved it. Took us until 1220 and already home to find out they might/are playing. Pish.    and on another note, this festival has lost its bastard soul. Gone are the wee tents with local sellers selling vinyl, t shirts etc, now you can buy a 50 f**king eur official T-shirt. The ar*e is truely out of this event now. I went to Porto for the first time last year and it was fab. I love Barcelona and the line up is always stacked, but this festival is a corporate loss take. Hopefully a better day tomorrow.
    • f**king horrendous and seems they couldn’t run an egg and spoon race.  zero info and the crush waiting to get in to see Massive Attack was potentially disasterous. Zero info, no stewards at all and was told that the whole evening was cancelled, when we got to the exit. Because it rained. First time attendee and i’ve got onsay, i’m far from impressed. Scalping bastard taxis asking €37 plus for an €11 fare too. Wonderdul.
    • Rumours are it's called The Lost Tour. In the US in September. Ireland in November (so UK+Europe a good bet around November/early December).
