Green Man 2026

Trying to compile a list of acts I’m personally interested in that are around and feel “Green-Man-Y”

Cmat feels too soon since this year, same with Getdown playing last two years.

Geese and Mac Demarco probably more likely for EOTR.

Amyl subbed in 2023 so unclear.

Idles haven’t played since 2019 but might be too big now to headline.

Wilco haven’t played since 2009 and seem the right kinda size.

Westside cowboy were on the rising stage this year but have blown up so could be back this year.

Doing green man apparently (one of the members self confirmed at a Q and A this year)

(This relates to Beta Band btw, from the EOTR forum)

I agree Getdown Services wouldn't be back next year if they had played a billed set this year, but given it was a secret set I think the door is probably open for them to be back in 2026.

Pulp seem oddly big for a festival of that size, would happily get 3x the total attendance of EoTR on the pyramid stage if they played there everyday.

Eotr does get a big pull every couple of years, Sufjan and Tame Impala for their last big anniversary. Vampire Weekend in 2018. They’re very lucky to have such good word of mouth amongst artists that many are happy to play out of curiosity or for a lesser I reckon.

Being realistic - either EotR have broken the bank and paid (by far) their biggest headliner fee ever, or more likely Pulp just want to do it and so have taken a substantially lower fee than they could get at over a dozen other festivals.

Hell, it's possible that both are true.

Do we reckon those Geese R+L dates rule them out of Green Man? I can see them being the secret headliner at EOTR now. A bit like how Wet Leg did that secret set at EOTR the same year they played R+L.

That's been my assumption - the Geese R&L rumour has been around for a few weeks, they have London dates on the Tuesday and Wednesday of EOTR week and Simon Taffe singled them out for praise in an interview just before this year's festival suggesting he already had them booked and had to again come to an agreement with Festival Republic.

On the subject of the R&L announcement I'm surprised at (so far) no Last Dinner Party - as they'd probably have headlined EOTR (Abigail was quoted in their press bumf last year) and there's surely no need to keep them secret, I wonder if they're at GM given even Pete Paphides on their official podcast said they were on too small a stage when they played Rising in 2023.
