Also the rumoured date range bisects Bearded Theory and if they headline that I don't know, nationality aside, if the optics would be good for them to also be top choice for a festival that's 10-15,000 capacity bigger.

I do wonder though if the possibility of getting both them and Overmono (who grew up 25 miles from the site and headlined West Holts stage this year) to headline, and also maybe Cate Le Bon subbing, might be put forward as proof after a rocky couple of years that GM is a key ambassador for Welsh culture. It could also allow them to "get away" with a couple of potentially lesser name headliners if the big fish aren't available in late summer 2026.

Overmono would be an incredible headliner if they're on the circuit next summer. They've got the potential to explode if their next album's as good as their first. I really hope we get some new material soon!

Hard to predict who is gonna headline until we can see who is at Parades De Coura, Oya, Way out West etc.

It’s probably too soon with how prominent her slot was this year but they could strike while the iron is hot (and whilst she’s still within their price budget) and have CMAT back as a headliner?

Amyl and Sniffers are announced for Oya today. I think they are about right to headline although they didn’t play too long ago. Depends if the bookers think they might be out of reach in the future.

Given her comments about the festival, I think she'd agree to to do whenever her next album comes out, regardless of how much she costs by then.

Would love this, they were wasted on the main stage Sunday afternoon at Reading this year.

Geese are playing Scotland 26th August so 3 days after the festival … but they’re also playing London 1st of September so could be more likely for End of the Road?

Praying theyre at GM but those dates are dubious.

Just got tickets to see them in Manchester early next year. New album is amazing

Would LOVE Geese! They played EOTR in 2023, had that last album on repeat for about 4 months, they'd be a hell of a booking.

I got all the way through to verifying payment via text message through bank, to then get ‘problem processing your payment’ page. I’ve called customer services number & left message but not holding out hope.

Gutted!

Had a really cool turn of events yesterday. The TicketSellers followed up the message I left from the day of the sale & asked for details of what happened, and once I’d described the issue they gave me a link to purchase the tickets I needed!

Delighted to be returning after missing out this year! However, in the time since the sale I decided to get an EOTR ticket, so I now am potentially doing the double header. My wife will not be happy!

Would love Amyl to headline, their slot at Reading this year was an awful decision, just before Trippie Red and during the day.

Have Amyl played quite recently? Would love to see them but as I understand GM are a bit wary of booking big name bands who have been on in recent years!

What do you people think the likelihood of Jamiroquai playing might be? Looks like they’ve got a few European festivals on and a short tour this year, feels like a perfect fit with no Glastonbury either

Even if she isn't I don't think anyone at her end is going to approach GM. The only artist I can see doing both Lorde APE and GM is ML Buch.

just wishful thinking on my end. The APE line ups are a weird mix of artists this year

    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
    • Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
    • I think it will very much vary on who there is to book who they know will sell out a day.    They’ve co-headline and full headline stuff in future, there no reason at all they won’t do it again, even if it means cutting someone’s set by 15 mins or having a band less in a big bands day…   They’re not going to not book Foo fighters and instead get the equivalent of Florence and C&S just to not have a band do a big set…   …unless of course they think it will make them more money…
    • Maybe some right wing leaders like Meloni are just playing to their base, like Reform have been here talking about them ending up at Calais.
