Guys do not be so pessimistic.
First of all, we all know 21 pilots and Florence are headliners, so we got 2 out of 5 days. Sombr can be a headliner, however i think he can only be a headliner if it is a 2 headliners in one day thing. I think we will get Lorde with him on the same day.
Lewis Capaldi is absolutely not a headliner material, and that is facts.

I do not think Dom Dolla would be the EDM headliner. He is not that huge like Garrix or Anyma etc.. I think he will be in a similar spot as Armin Van Buuren this year.

In my opinion, we only got 2 headliners. Maybe Sombr is the 3rd one, if they can not find another artist with similar popularity on the same day.

Why is Lewis not a headliner?

Sombr is more likely than not a headliner , based on what Leaks previously said.

Capaldi is headlining festivals all over next year (including BST) so is equally a headliner.

Sure, it’s possible that a couple of the days might have a co-headliner, but given the current financial situation of the festival and the fact it almost didn’t happen, I would say this line up is on par with what I would have expected.

There is no crossover for Lorde’s festival run with the previous festival tour (2023), so I think Sziget would be an unlikely booking based on that alone.

in the same format, 21P + Florence + sombr (closing main stage) with Lewis co-headlining and a DJ / someone less melancholic closing main

make sense imo

Ecatly, for a first announcemnet it looks quite promising for me. For me it is obvious we can expect 2 more headliners at least (one could be Lorde).

Not a bad start, the only downsides for me are no Turnstile (yet?) and that there're only two headliners left (if we're lucky, but I think they mark Lewis and Sombr as two co-heads). Not so interested in already announced headliners TBH, but still they are quality acts (and my wife wants to attend Twenty One Pilots show, so I can be biased).

The names down the bill are way more interesting. Biffy Clyro, Tash Sultana, Underworld (that one really was a surprise, already can feel those vibes at A38)... Among the smaller ones can recommend Bad Nerves (fast-paced punk rock), De'Wayne (MGK-like pop-punk), Antony Szmierek (spoken word electronic), Kim Dracula (avant-garde metal, reminds me of Faith No More in some ways), Karen Dió (alternative metalcore), Giant Rooks (alternative rock), Zimmer90 (something like Balu Brigada this year), Lambrini Girls (radical left, but still energertic punk rock).

I think it's way better than the first announcement for 2025.

There are some great acts in the undercard but I don't think it will convince many people to buy tickets or book flights and hotels. And apart from 21P (and maybe Florence), I don't see any big names that would appeal to Hungarians either. Hopefully, they have the funding from the new investors sorted...

No competittors for hungarians, the number of hungarian visitors is pretty steady so i wouldnt worry about that

Oskar MedK is the only one that has got me excited, been listening to his stuff for a while,

but he’s a small artist

the Underworld boiler room was decent, but those boys are pushing 70 now and will be interesting to see if they still have that 90s energy. ( I know I don’t)

I hope they announce more names than was on the video tomorrow as I think it’s a very weak lineup for the first phase

I may be wrong but Biffy were big 15 years ago and haven’t really done much since so apart from only revolutions I couldn’t name another album or song

    • Iran firing missiles at Israel blaming Israel's continued breaking of ceasefire agreements with its bombing of Lebanon. Deal with that one Trump you d*ck.
    • Best of all is to get the tram, then call a taxi for very short not-rip-off ride once in the centre.
    • Would you decide to go once more I recommend to queu up at the ‘official’ freenow taxi line ( 5 min walk from the main gate). It might take 15 min or so but they are not ripping you off. Even at 3 or 4 in the night it costed us about 25eur to the city center.
    • How do you mean? Better as a hotel/ festival combo?   I've done rock am ring at both sites.....unpopular opinion I much preferred the mending site and really didn't like the long and narrow main stage at RaR.
    • Yesterday was another brilliant day of music for me. Some highlights:  My Bloody Valentine - absolutely loved it! Maybe my main festival highlight. I felt submerged in the music with all the layers and distortion. It becomes hypnotic almost as it progresses. Not as loud as some thought it might be, but it didn’t need to be. The visuals added a lot too. During the noise part of You Made me Realise, I was basically in a trance staring at the visual tunnel or whatever it was on screen. Amazing experience. Little Simz - as she mentioned at the start, you’re guaranteed a good time with her. Great performance just like in 2022. Zero complaints. The little DJ section wasn't something I expected but was cool. Kneecap - I had a blast but at this point in the night I was at my most intoxicated let's say, so I don’t remember it as clearly as I'd have liked to!    The xx - The sound for this was perfectly balanced (at least where I was) and the band were great. Lots of talkers, but with the crowd size and being kind of far back, it's to be expected. Intro was one of my favourite moments this year. Big Thief - really good live performers. The lead singer has a lovely voice. This was a nice chill way to kick off the mordor gigs for me.
