NOS Alive 2026

Hi there. I'm new in the place. I've been reading the forum for years but I've never written until right now. I've been in NOS since it was called OPTIMUS Alive. The Cure has been a real disappointment, but let's hope this year's line-up is better than last one's. Gorillaz and Florence would be great additions.

Not offcial of course but i think Alvaro Covoes doesnt like them.

every single time he had a slot to bring them in , he never does.

it would be great if they came to NOS.

are they gonna be in europe next year?

I thought The Killers were going to be on pause for 2026 while Brandon Flowers finally tours solo material he talked about having ready to go in 2023. But they are announced for a festival in Colombia, hinting they might be more active than thought.

I don't think there's any tangible rumour of them being anywhere just yet though.

You'd have thought he'd do his own shows no?

I would’ve thought so too, however I thought it’s convenient with the supposed nos alive announcement tomorrow, and all of the other billboards seem to be near venues where as the Lisbon one seems more generic (to my knowledge), which I would say leans more towards a festival?

Can be at NOS ALIVE or using main stage after NOS ALIVE…I guess the promoter of Weeknd is Everything is New (as the same of NOS)

If it’s the same promoter I would say that’s pretty likely to be doing NOS then? If an announcement was teased by the organisers for tomorrow too

I know it's nos thread but that's another one almost locked in for Werchter, wouldn't be surprised if it's her tomorrow. Shared a headliner all the last 3 years and two of them were female. Shared two in 2022 as well and technically I don't know for sure but Queens were also in 23 on the same line as AM so it's almost inevitable.

A great start too. I think that's now Mumfords out which is fine.

How does this rule Mumford and Sons out?

it doesnt. mumford arent going to headline but i could see a florence+mumford combo easily.

mumford are playing lisbon on november 25th so dont expect them announced before that (even if they are sold out which they are)

It would be a bit odd to have 3 bands that were definitely headliners or co-headliners from the same year return later no?, I think it's happened with two but all 3 headliner in 2019 with Mumford and FATM co-headlining.

Edit: They both got the same time as well. Tool got shorter than The Cure but they are one of those exceptions with how long they. play, you're never going to get two headliners covering 5 hours of time.

They already did that as a combo in 2019 is what I'm saying so they won't again.

For Rock Werchter? To be honest I'm not sure if festival bookers care that much. Especially if the acts themselves have released new music since. If they think it'll sell then that is the primary concern. RW also have previous for bringing acts back in repeated slots, even in consecutive years.

Well the original reply had Werchter in it so yes. Well booking history would suggest they do as they have rarely had 3, if they have for a very long time.

    • It was awful during Father John Misty and I was close to the front. People just shouting and laughing their f-ing heads off about nothing in particular and being louder than the bloody stage.
    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
