With this the Cure won't be at Nos Alive

and with the probability of missing Primavera Porto ,   will they be elegible for Paredes de Coura in August?

Or Kalorama, if the festival dates go back to the end of August again

the problem of Kalorama is

The Cure are already in Rock En Seine on the 30th

then on the same weekend  All Points East  and Reading/Leeds will happen.  I believe The Cure will be in at least one of them.

Let's see what will happen

This was a plot twist I was not expecting… The 21 Pilots talk is interesting, but if we are having doubts about Nick Cave selling 55k tickets, 21 Pilots are a complete shot in the dark.

Very curious about Thursday’s announcement. I was quite convinced that they were going to announce The Cure.

21 Pilots are not headling for sure , they arent big enough here

out of what seems to be available next year , only bands i can see sell/draw 55/60k are Foo Fighters , maybe billie or sabrina.

even these will only sold out their respective days , they wont push multiple days tickets like Pearl Jam usually does.

it will be a disappointment or it will be someone really big (FF , Sabrina or Billie, anyone else that big in europe next year?)

I was also waiting for The Cure... that's why I'm starting to believe in 21 Pilots... or FF... or Florence the Machine whose album comes out this month.

my money is on FF , Florence or Gorillaz if we are talking about headliners even though Florence and Gorillaz would need a 2nd co-headliner to sell out (like Nick cave)

21 pilots would be a good band before the headliner

Don't forget we are talking about the festival that thought Kings of Leon and Anyma were good choices as headliners

I would think Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds is a bigger name than Gorillaz, isn't it?

I think both will be there though.

I believe The Cure will come to Vilar de Mouros in August... it would be strange to me for Nos Alive to feature two old classics like The Cure and Nick Cave on the same bill!
although this has already happened in a previous edition with Neil Young and Bob Dylan.

The Cure are too big for a festival like Vilar de Mouros.     We are talking about a band, that the last time they played in Nos Alive, the day had sold out,   and Vilar de Mouros currently is a festival with the capacity with less than 15 000  and the organizers don't like to spend much on bands

The Cure are already doing 4 big shows of their own + Isle of Wight fest, I really doubt they'll do anything else in the UK.

Not seen them mentioned yet but perhaps Mumford, Lumineers, Haim, Lorde, Florence & the Machine.. maybe it’s even finally the year for The Killers.

Haim and Florence for me. Would be good bookings, solid live acts.

I'm very surpised that Killers have not played, I think they would be idea for NOS.

Not offcial of course but i think Alvaro Covoes doesnt like them.

every single time he had a slot to bring them in , he never does.

it would be great if they came to NOS.

are they gonna be in europe next year?

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
