A couple of weird scheduling choices there, since I feel like Tom Grennan is very much a main stage artist, the kind you'd put on around 6:00 or 7:00 PM who'd appeal to all the casual festivalgoers sitting in their lawn chairs. And having seen Wet Leg both in a tent setting (at the 2021 IOW Fest) and on a big stage, I'd say they work a lot better in the more intimate space of the Big Top.

Completely agree with this - Wet Leg do work much better in a more intimate space. They were a bit lost on the Other Stage at Glastonbury this year, IMO. And don't get me started on lawn chairs. The biggest improvement IofW fest could make is banning chairs from the main arena, or at least introducing more stringent rules regarding where chairs can be used.

I know a lot of the crowd lives for those stupid chairs, so I don't think they could ever be banned. But the fest could do a much better job of using security to police where people place their chairs so that there are plenty of clear walkways between the main arena and other areas like the Big Top and the food/drink vendors.

Rick Astley mid-afternoon is a surefire hit, Glasto basically rubber-stamped the family good-time feel for the next ten years for him.

He always had this really!

Not much im fussed about beyond The Cure currently so hoping for massive improvements

Fingers crossed it improves for you.  Really enjoyed it when we went, it’s defo a festival that doesn’t take itself seriously as you can see from the ‘fun’ acts on the lineup.

Only downfall we found (well barring the lineup if it’s not for you) is it’s just very expensive as a whole

I refer back to my point of it doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Think there done well to get TDCC 3ed down but guessing that’s more to do with the Wet Leg IOW factor.

Hope there’s plenty of you that are happy with the additions
