Not enough "retro" names there.

John Giddings likes an American / Canadian Act

Therfore Arcade Fire, The National or Bryan Adams might be a good shout.

Along with Fender, Mumford, Biffy, Pulp, Tom Grennan and maybe Sheeran !

Bryan Adams is a very good shout.

Arcade Fire's crowd in 2017 was one of the smallest I've seen for a headliner at IOW - I don't think they'll be back again.

Saw that. Bit of a strange one - not the booking, just the self-confirmation. Makes me wonder if something is coming just around the bend.

That was my first thought. Can't be far off some info. Divine comedy are supporting him on some of his dates and would be great on the Thursday night

I was quite surprised by the lack of tour/festivals after the new album last year, is your info only saying IoW or any other festivals in the pipeline too?

My thoughts exactly.

Those lucky few who attended the album launch gigs at BBC Radio Theatre and/or Troxy last year were in for a real treat. So jealous of them.

The Cure helps most line-ups look better to be fair.

Adams one of those artists who, if he took a few years off touring, could possibly come back and play some big open-air shows.

But because he pretty much hits the UK every year in some configuration or other, there's no pent-up demand ever required. It's not difficult to see him in most parts of the country.

Sounded like doing the early summer EU tour route (assume festivals), not sure about UK
