I had seen the Styles rumours. He's likely in the conversation as arguably the biggest British act to emerge in the past ten years.

 

But the question is whether he could well be above the festival. I'd wager not - he'll have grown up watching it.

One top-of-the-line stadium-filler or mega-mover (Lady Gaga, Harry Styles, Pink, Foo Fighters).

 

One veteran artist with the back catalogue to thrill all comers. (Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, Eagles, The Cure).

 

Of course, crossover between all three categories, and as many have pointed out, the pool for the latter is ever shrinking for a multitude of reasons.

Would guess the same they will probably try for Oasis as first choice for Herritage act. But I'd guess they need a back up for when that does not come of.

I just cannot see Oasis getting as far as 2027. Think they'll do this year, a few dates next year - a return to Knebworth among them - and then pack to go solo again. Believe Noel will have the itch to spread his wings, at the very least.

If Oasis don't do it in 2027, I can see them headlining in 2030 for the 60th anniversary.

I doubt you will see any of them go back to solo after this tour. No one will care about the solo tours after this. So many people I know that have tickets have said they wouldn't bother seeing Noel or Liam on their own after this as there isn't any point.
