To save this edition to me personally

Muse and Green Day headliners

My chemical romance headlining( but i know they arent strong enough i think to headline portugal) so a co headline perhaps playing the black parade full and some hits

NIN (were so great last time)

Hopefully Muse and Green Day! My Chem 100% won't happen, maybe 2026!

Would love my chem, never saw them, only saw Gerard way solo in 2015, armazém F with already closed!

Yeah im not expecting my chem.

My story with them is kinda funny, when the black parade came out i didnt give 2 cents about it, a few years after they came to nos alive the same day as the foo fighters(the day before the stage broke ) i went to  eat something during my chem. I remember seeing Gérard red hair very very far away.

In 2020 during covid a friend of mine showed me the black parade because they made a reunion show in late 2019 and also the umbrella academy debut on netflix, he told me Gérard wrote the comics. After i listen to that album , it has become  one of the albums of my life. Its such a masterpiece, the songs, the story of the pacient, everything is just amazing.

I really hope they come to portugal at least one more time because i really have to see them at least one time.

I was really wanting to go to Nos but the line-up is looking poor so far... They won;t be getting LP or Green Day by the looks of things, and with Olivia Rodrigo the only headliner announced, I'm looking elsewhere. Shame as I wanted to go to Lisbon again, but it'll have to wait til another year I think!

Was hoping to return as well but so far it's looking grim

I personally don't like Linkin Park at all so I'm happy it looks as though they've been avoided. Not really into Green Day either so a headline trio of those three + Oliva Rodrigo (who I don't know a single song by) would have definitely resulted in me giving it a miss.

From some of the realistic(ish) headline names mentioned I'd love to see two of either LCD, Depeche Mode, Muse, Justice, QOTSA or Metallica.

Happy with Future Islands on the undercard. Hoping to see the likes of Fontaines, Caribou, Jack White, Wet Leg too

Fontaines, Caribou and Wet Leg are all on Primavera Sound Porto, so I would not expect them at NOS Alive.

It's really too early to tell I think. I had zero expectations last year and then, bam, Arcade Fire and Pearl Jam, two of my favourite bands

Are Green Day absolutely out? I know it would've made sense to announce by now given they already have a dozen Euro shows announced, but the tour ends the weekend before NOS. So I don't think they're out just yet.

Or maybe that's the "It ain't over 'til its over" copium.

They sold out 2 French shows last year in Paris & Lyon plus had two pretty big festival crowds in Spain, so I'd be surprised if Green Day ignored both of those countries in 2025 while still being in the European neighbourhood. Even if a candidate seemed to be Hellfest but they are now out of that one due to the timing of shows in Austria and Germany.

But as said, they're still adding shows so it ain't over til it's over as far as this event or any other Spanish/Portuguese fests go.

Certainly if they have both Muse and Green Day, it'll pique my interest. They probably don't but it's nice to dream ha.

    • Any festival is going to face most of the same limitations just by the nature of the event. It's not realistic to accommodate custom staging that extends out deep into the field. Trying to do so and trying to rebuild those kind of structures at the front of the field every day would severely impact on other performers, potentially even including other headliners. It'd also drive everyone involved insane. The most you can get away with is a basic extension that doesn't hide anything fancy. Remember that a lot of the time on these big choreographed shows, the stage extension itself will contain all manner of things to help the show beyond just being a simple platform. Also remember that these structures are designed to be assembled and operate on perfectly flat stadium or arena floors.   In terms of the stage itself - yes, the Pyramid is undersized (I believe 16 metres wide at rigging level). The de facto industry standard has become 20 metres and so it likely does need increasing and apparently there are plans to do so. But that only helps with artists that can largely confine themselves to the stage.   The Other Stage is already 20 metres - to be exact the Other Stage structure is the same model that Serious Stages provide to Reading, Leeds, Download etc for use as their Main Stage and there's nothing larger (at least off the shelf) in their catalogue. So no reason to change that.
    • Can someone remind me, on Harry Styles specifically - have we had any concrete info on him?   I don't personally remember saying much/anything on him, though I have just been away for a month, so could be forgetting something.
