Actually is front standing the massive dark grey bit? And that barrier looking thing actually just the bit between the stage and crowd?

I think you were right the first time. That light grey is the barrier separating the 2 sections all the way across including the food stalls etc. The dark grey is just showing where the standing area will be. The rest is areas for stalls etc

Yeah 2026 is key. Etihad has been thrown around, as has the likes of Spain and Italy (I did find it slightly odd that the rest of Europe didn't get a look in, if I'm honest). Obviously Knebworth gets thrown around, remains to be seen if there's any substance to that (or any of that 2026 stuff I've just put).

My gut feeling is that there may be a verbal agreement for some of the above, but they'll be waiting to see how this year pans out first - it's not like stuff needs to go on sale too far in advance.

2026 happens and then you've got to think they'll be in the running.

I imagine it's all under wraps but I'll do some digging next weekend.

2026 Europe and Knebworth. 2027 Etihad and Glastonbury.

Haha 🤣🤣

There was nothing funny about my comment.

Liam Gallagher spent this weekend describing the pyramid crowd as like 'playing front of a load of a jamboree teachers' and doubled down that it was 'a bad thing'. They can sell out as many of their own shows as they want and rake in a load of money in the process (they only got back together to pay off Noel's divorce) - there's absolutely no reason for them to play Glastonbury. Expecting them to do it all, let alone in 2027 is vastly overstating the festival's appeal to them. I'd be surprised if they do any festivals let alone Glastonbury.

Oh and seen as I can't edit this I'll add that Noel Gallagher slammed the festival as "virtue signalling" and "woke" so it looks unlikely either of them want to play Glastonbury any time soon.

Noel also said he loves Glastonbury and it's the best thing in the UK bar the Premier League in the same article.

If Oasis like playing together and decide to write new material in the next year they'll be in the frame. Nothing promotes your albums and tours like a headline slot at Glasto shown across the UK on the Beeb.

They really won't be in the frame. They've ruled out playing festivals on this tour already. Liam absolutely hates Glastonbury and Noel's true views are obvious from what he actually said bar the bollocks about it being the best thing in the UK (which he said to hedge is bets of playing it solo in future) - you don't slam the best thing in the UK and then call it "woke" and "virtue signalling". People in here are getting carried away and need to manage their expectations. By all means dig up this post in a few years if by some miracle they do do it.

The stalls seem very spread out if so. I reckon the darker area could be front standing..but I hope you are right.

The Gallaghers like the attention and Glastonbury garners attention. Right now they don't need a festival with a sold out tour ahead of them. Will the pull to see them still be as feverish as it is now if they are still touring in two years? I doubt it.

I would suspect they will soften their views about Glastonbury in the same way they've softened their views about each other.

But I could be wrong, I guess we shall see.

Liam doesn't absolutely hate Glastonbury.  He did a secret set just a few years back.

It's the pyramid stage he hates, which is going to be an issue - Oasis on a normal set / secret set on any other stage would attract a crowd way too big for the stages. They can only really play the pyramid.

He played that just a few years back too.  Ignore what he says on twitter.  He's just chatting wham.

He was literally at that festival. I listened to the podcast it came from and only about 2 minutes was the woke stuff, the rest was saying how great a time he had. There was one from the year before when he played also saying how much he enjoyed it.

I agree they won't play though

Someone pointed this out on twitter and he said 'I was forced too'.

You can't take anything Liam or Noel say seriously on Twitter or interviews. All evidence shows they love glasto. It's a case of will they still be going in 2027/ will they pay for basically 0 compared to how much they make elsewhere?

The former seems more of an issue for me - that's 2 years away. 2025 they already have loads in and then ok maybe other venues and knebwoth and Europe in 26 but then what's left to do in 27 bar Glasto.

Twickets seems quite hard with all the bots but gonna keep trying!

Two more seated tickets (separate listings) for around the £150 mark as I write this. Been a few popping up all evening.

It’s getting to the point where they are reserved that’s hard and I feel like I have a trigger finger!
