Is this right? MyCause UK haven’t been asked back this year as well. I did see someone mention Festaff but i also noted that the festival itself is looking for volunteers themselves. Interesting…….

Yeah Oxfam stewards posted on their instagram before to confirm they wont be returning to BT amongst a few others!

Looks like ‘all change’ at BT. The roles fulfilled previously presumably still are needed (or most if not all) so going to be interesting how it pans out.

Thats not a new thing, in fact the whole thing was started and managed by volunteers

Was not aware of the history, makes sense given the original vibe - one of my favourite places, but only since 2018. I think this is a different thing now tho given the current owners - more managing costs i would imagine.

Yes of course like any business in particular in the festival industry, they all walk a fine line with profit/loss.

I think the weather last year will have hit profits too. I still think that is reason wife won't go this year although she is denying that.

Can’t recall who it was that said they hoped Ezra Furman would join Du Blonde on stage at BT this year.

Went to see Du Blonde in concert last night (fantastic gig, but I always stand next to the people with the least gig etiquette) and Beth announced that Ezra would be joining them on stage at BT.

only get a babysitter for 3 of the days so need to work out a plan of action!

Pick the Fri/Sat/Sun and then bring the little one the first 2! 

 

 

But its usually a lot closer to the time.

does this mean you can only do two of the main days as have to get back on a morning, or just deciding which 2 of the five days to do?

If I go Thursday I'll have to come back on Sunday tea time... but If I go Friday I can come back Monday.... so It depends if Sunday evening is any cop!

From the poster you can see who is Thursday so far (those with a +). There won't be that much more added that day as it isn't in full swing. I'd say that unless there is something there you would consider unmissable, there's much more chance of stuff to enjoy Sunday Evening.
