You'd think they'd know that though, wouldn't you? But you're probably right. It's a testament to CMAT that this is such a huge loss though. Her stock is so high at the moment ⤴️

Tour tickets were fairly easy to grab this morning - we got Newcastle ones to make up for her not being at the festival

Good idea. I'd like to see her, I've just got to persuade someone to join me.

Cycle to Bearded Theory with Zig Zag, along a fantastically scenic 50km route with pub lunch stops and accompanied by your fellow festival-goers. Drop your bags off in advance and they’ll be transported to the festival for you, leaving you to enjoy the thrill of the journey with support along the way. We’re offering free secure cycling parking plus, to show our gratitude for your individual commitment to event sustainability we’ll be providing “Dinner On Us” and some drinks to anyone who cycles to the festival.

Rain seems to hit harder at Bearded.

Absolutely disagree with this.

Given the sheer volume of rain that fell last year, in a relatively short space of time, I was amazed at how well the site held up. I've been to plenty festivals that have had less rain cause worse ground conditions. Glastonbury being a prime example.

It's made me pretty confident going forward that as the site can (just about) cope with freak amounts of rain like that, then any "normal" year will be perfectly fine.

Coincidentally, I'd dug out this pic earlier for a discussion elsewhere.

To be fair, it had been a long time since I'd been at a really wet festival and the fear of them had built up as memories faded. But this was a reminder that you can cope and still have a good time.

I've got a little video clip I filmed while walking through the mud on Wednesday night, and you can hear my son say "Where would you rather be?" and he had a point.

Mainly to make sure it isn't going to be a washout again....

Good luck with that, for the reasons already stated.

Nonsense, plus since being on that site since 2014, it's only got really muddy twice... 2014 & 2024

LOLing so hard it hurts

Last years rain was not forecast til a couple of hours before and was totally unprescidented with previous records less than half the rainfall on ground soaked by the wettest winter on record.

To get the ground to that state we need rain every day for  a month, and lots of it, and then we need 100mm in one hour as people arrive.

Just buy a ticket FFS

 And This ^^

I wasn't talking about the ground/site. I was talking about how it feels on the person.

But people don't need much of a reason to strongly disagree with you on here 😹

Any thoughts on when the day splits are likely to appear? Quite excited about digging into the undercard and finding some smaller bands for when I have gaps!

Sometime towards the end of the month - so a couple weeks from now at best.

Transformer is Shonan Knife performing songs of The Ramones.

Sounds good to me 🙂

This has made my day - one of my favourite albums and they rarely trot stuff out from it live.
