I hope they are there too.

Also, from the Prodigy today....

Brixton Academy is our home. What happened there a few months ago was tragic and very serious lessons need to be learnt from it.
It's the venue that has been at the heart of our band, the one that we have played the most and where fans from all around the world come to see us play. It is super important that it's able to continue to be a place that you can go and see bands play live. If you agree please, put your full support behind them, as we do.

Think it’s massively unlikely they’re gonna be there now that we know they’re not one of the Other/any stage headliners. Obviously nothing ruling them out of being a secret set - they’d make an excellent one in Woodsies - but think it’s more likely they’re not gonna be there, and perhaps are waiting until they’ve got a new album to play from next year.

Yeah really struggling to see where they’d fit since QOTSA are apparently nailed on for Sunday other stage.
I’d say maybe even a secret set but they’re typically earlier in the day and their live show is best at night.

I can’t imagine any of the ‘after hours’ areas really have the facilities for how busy they’d be as well

With Michael Bibi pulling out of a prime The Levels slot (00:00-01:30) on Friday and The Prodigy having their German festival cancelled can someone speak to Silver Hayes and get Liam Howlett DJing at the very least?

He's not pulled out yet, just been moved to TBA while assessing if he can play or not (tinnitus).

Prodigy DJs is a weak booking for a prime SH spot as busy as it would likely be at glasto

    • Personally if it was me now, I would be grabbing a green camping ticket with the knowledge closer when I've refreshed that I can still choose general if I want to....you can't do the opposite!    I would say if you are happy to watch your headliners and big bands further back to be able to see who you actually plan to later then yes it is fine. Its a much difference experience to any other festival especially food wise and camping surrounds.    Once you're in the arena as well you're not going back unless you've got a gap. If I go again I'll be going with the option of not trying to push the front and enjoying further back as you actually put too much pressure on it than the time take away can forget to enjoy other acts.
    • No complaints about the sound. We were like 2nd set of steps facing stage right in like the middle row.
    • On the whole then, yay or nay...I've had a look on festivals united and there's people who seem converted by Rock Im Park, I can imagine it might be different if it was a washout as RaR is tarmac.   The hotel side would be more to convince the non campers if it's an option. On my first visit to rock am ring we were shuttled into the area where you could stick the car next to the tent which was fantastic as it meant zero lugging of camping gear.
    • An interesting thing this. Having seem them several times (some of their gigs veer into back catalogue niche territoty), I partly agree they arent Pyramid material (theough modern defeinition of 'bangers' although I could see them headlinging the Other stage) I can't think of another festival in the world that they couldn't headline - Reading, IoW, BST, Rock Wercheter, Roskilde, etc etc.
