I'm still on the Fred Fence about his actual tunes but reckon Imma be there for the gig. He doesn't have strong competition by the looks of it so it's gonna be busy as the other stage gets.

Yeah it’s gonna be absolutely rammed, possibly too much so which might make a quick entrance from another stage beforehand/exit to another after a bit of a pain in the arse.

Linger round the edges imho.

Not that there's much on afterwards to escape to early.

Friday night is a d@b down so far.

This is guaranteed to lead to a mediocre gig for you. The 3 times I've seen him live the best part has been the crowd interaction and engagement which you won't get from the edge just watching him, especially if you already think the tunes aren't great.

The new sound system on the Other will still blow yer socks off from quite a distance back.

Can have the best sound system in the world and it's still shit if you're surrounded by Sandra's chatting away on the edge. "I don't get it, shall we go Shangri-la"

Not a fan of that 😞 Dunno why, sounds like something that was knocked up in 30 minutes on Reason 20 years ago.

Haai plays it in her sets and ramps up the BPM, sounds much better tbh.

This is superb

It's genuinely one of the best DJ sets I've ever seen lol I'm blown away by it tbh! I just love the way they all work so well together to mix different genres of music so seamlessly (mostly) and are just having fun.

I am sooooooooooooo hoping for something like this at Glasto it would go straight to the top of my want to see list.

PS, anyone know the track Fred is mixing in at around 37 mins just before Four Tet drops a naughty one :) Ta

He could travel back in between (maybe) but it’s a bit of a mission, especially with his stage gear. Could be a nice pop up appearance though who knows!

Hmmm bollox ! Maybe a sneaky B2B2B2 on Thursday night in the Temple? Now that would go off!

He’ll only play one day at that festival. Could easily play Glastonbury on Friday/Saturday and then head over to Bucharest on Sunday.

    • They are going to have Blink 182 for sure, early June upto around Werchter weekend I'd say for them. Two of Sweden Rock,  Greenfield and RFP are going to miss out.
    • I've come across a few this weekend saying Deftones aren't big enough for Download.   I would recommend b&b hotel hbf the night before....cheap, comfortable and very decent. Within 10 minutes from the station and a tram stop outside to jump on...all travel is free during the festival time as well with a kombi. Lidl is very good and cheap I can't lie....€6 for a chair with carey handle, €20 with a bag too...you can work that out yourself.   If you camp, get up at 5am and go to the queue....literally don't question it as now I know.     The travel wise part is easy when you get the hang of it and I've never had an easier exit from a festival today tbh. We were camped in the turn left section but past the registration and to get water you have to come right out.   Opening up an exit through he camp at least by Friday morning when everyobe is there would be much better but you csnt walk through general if you're green and sonon.   I think the issue for me probably too is I have never taken like a mutliple litre water too, I've always done a 6 pack water from like poundland lol but you definitely need it. I had one shower that was cold lol   Talking of getting into the front, Volbeat was the only easy one, for Maiden and especially Linkin Park if you weren't in the queue for it by at least the last quarter ot Architects you had no hope....it was shocking. I do like orbit to sit down. I had to decide to sack off Within Temptation too or no chance.   Second stage biggest gripe is the faff of walking all the way round when VIP or whatever it is literally get access to each bit. I did read tbh before going people though RIP/Ring was turning too much the wrong way.   Also as a side note, caught some of Limp Bizkit last night too and they are not headliner but any distance at all. Yes they pull a crowd...they would do with LP finished but on the grand scale its a super weak booking. Stop, start for video recordings all the way through a headline set?, 1hr 15 minutes and you can't play for that time. I'm so glad they were not chosen to headline main.   On another thing, if RIP played it right they'll get GC and Avril to sub/second stage headline on the Blink day.   Toilets and cleanliness is a big plus I will say that.
    • Any of the likes of Keo, Basht. and Cardinals could all fit in here.  Although they’re the sort of bands that could fit many of the stages at Glastonbury
    • Glasto loves a come back act - how about the Rapture?
    • Yeah mentioned in the park thread but feel more Woodsies to me
