So no Depeche Mode, Maneskin, Muse, Coldplay, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Beyonce, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Harry Styles, Bruce Springsteen, Tove Lo, Queen or Bon Jovi?

Who or what is a Moderat?

EDIT: Just had a listen to Moderat. They seem to be this year's Rufus Du Sol so I'll put them as subs.

He said that none are coming in relation to this post, which contains Billie Eilish:

Depeche mode and Maneskin are out since they are in Budapest just before Sziget. Muse very likely coming. Coldplay don't do festivals it seems. It's obvious Taylor is not coming but I still expect one big pop diva. Sorry but Billie is not that category. I'm talking Beyonce, Rihanna, Katy Perry... There are indications they will do shows next year. Styles and Springsteen don't have Hungarian dates but both having last European date on tour around 2 weeks before Sziget so don't know how likely is that. Would be awesome but can't see it. Tove Lo should be coming with new album out for sure. Queen is planning last tour with Lambert apparently so would be nice. Sambora hinted he may reunite with Bon Jovi so let's see...

if people don't know Moderat maybe it's better they don't discuss about music....

Why? I've heard of them but I don't know any of their songs because they operate in a genre that holds no interest for me. So, I'd happily say I don't know Moderat - but I guarantee I know just as much about music as anyone else on this forum.

I'm sorry, downvote me but how can you judge whether a band is headlining or not or what stage they're going to play on if you have no idea who they are? when I read some name that is unknown to me, I go to Google, I see how many listeners it has on Spotify, I get information and maybe even listen to a song if I have time... This is the only way to get an idea of where that artist can be placed in a festival

That obviously refers to me. This webpage is just views on a festival, with opinion, conjecture and speculation being thrown around all over the place. For me that's due to a love of music, a fondness for Sziget festival and an excitement as announcement day comes.

I don't study and revise before posting. It's fun, not an exam.

I understand your point of view and respect it but I don't think you can speculate without knowing the bands, peace

I think the downvotes were against your "mr Know it all" attitude, by saying "dont discuss about music if you don't know moderat".

1) even if they were BIG (which is not the case), people are allowed to not know a band/artist, and still free to enjoy Music, don't you think ?

2) I took a look at them, and compares to every single last years' headliners, they are far behind (popularity speaking, I don't judge people tastes). Ex : Tame Impala, Dua Lipa or Arctic Mokeys all have between 20 and 60 millions listeners/month. Moderat just 1.

It's maybe great music, but you have to accept that it is not that popular, and people might not know them ^^

    • Its taught me basically to acknowledge to turn up for the bigger acts even 10 minutes before if I wanted to see a band before and just get as central and far forward as possible so the show is at least there. Volbeat wasn't hard to access the front for at all but I didnt stay in for the whole show. They are a bit of a 45/50 minutes hits band for me. They had a crowd don't get me wrong but they are the weakest headliner in the trio all the last 3 times they've appeared. But then the festival are putting on headliners at some other festivals on their late night closing stage. The only thing I probably would have liked to do is see more of Sabaton as I enjoyed them, just the tiredness and adapting to a different overseas festival etc. The start didn't exactly go to plan for me and I knew I was struggling and didn't want to kill my bodies energy completely for the Sunday night.   I saw Palaye Royale, 30 minutes of Sabaton and 20 minutes of Limb Bizkit as I was just going past but I didnt need to stay longer for them. I checked the setlist they were doing and do be honest I stood there while they played a video recording and couldn't be bothered with it. While they looked good in that position on paper I didn't need to see them again to say I had.
