So who enjoyed 2000 Trees? I had a blast this year. Even the rain didn’t bother me that much. Saw some awesome bands, and my partner had an amazing time at her first weekend festival.

Yeah it was a good time as usual! No real complaints from me. Could have done with a few more toilets but other than that it was great!

A few early predictions for Headliners:

While She Sleeps - playing Ally Pally later this year + saw nearly as many (if not more) Sleeps t-shirts as I did BfmV ones

Taking Back Sunday - new music on the way, should be touring next summer and had a couple of posters at the fest

Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls - not really my jam but probably overdue a return

Was thinking maybe Broco or Neck Deep could headline but would expect to see them at Slam Dunk instead really

And would Chvrches be considered to indie/poppy to headline? Was trying to think of a female headliner and struggle to think of any the right size but would love to see these guys

Elsewhere in the line-up I think we could see The Blackout, Kids In Glass Houses, Spanish Love Songs, Can't Swim, Marmozets if they ever come back, Yonaka; and from this year's line up The Xcerts, Dead Pony, Pet Needs and Loathe (who had to cancel last minute) to come back

I really hope the Trees bookers pull the trigger on The Menzingers and give them a headline spot.

Their last tour saw them play bigger rooms than Thrice did on their last run & the crowd/reception they received last time headlining The Cave was insane.

    • Never too early to start discussing next year’s headliners right?   I’m not attending this year so thought I’d get the ball rolling as I saw Weezer have a new album out in August I’d expect them to do this or Slam Dunk next year. I mean they’re probably too big for this however I think they’re niche enough that they would maybe do it, it just depends on if the fee is a bit out of range for trees.    It’ll be the 20th anniversary next year so I’d expect some throwbacks and hopefully some big headliners/acts. James has already said he’s made a mad booking that you wouldn’t guess & I think he mentioned that he’s spent something like 80% of this years budget of next years top line already on last weeks 2 promoters 1 pod (Don’t quote me on that).    I reckon they’ll try for and get at least two (not all) of the following - Enter Shikari, AFI, Weezer, Sex Pistols Feat Frank Carter, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls
    • for some reason last night watched series one of Prey on Netflix.   if Legends was written by Timmy Mallet (see above) then Prey seems to have been made by Mr Blobby.   why are all these British crime dramas so sh*t?
    • It'll be all over various Seatfillers based upon previous years at Sandringham
    • The Jayhawks 2026 UK Tour    Sept 15 – Brighton – Corn Exchange  Sept 16 – London – Electric Ballroom Sept 17 – Manchester – Academy 2 Sept 18 – Glasgow – The Garage    For you ‘americana’ lovers. They have a great song book.
    • Weezer just announced a new album & US tour so could add them to the headliner pool. Imagine they’ll do this or trees
