I get the feeling tomorrow is the defacto final between England and France.  I fancy either of them to go on and win it after today

Wouldn't be so sure. While Croatia's bizarre ability to turn every game into extra time and Argentina's over-reliance on Messi are on thing, Morocco and Portugal are in wait and I'm not sure either will make for pushovers.

Watch Ronaldo win the world cup for Portugal with an injury time winner in the Messi v Ronaldo finale!

Is it just my nostalgia kicking in, or are most if these teams not at the level of those in the late 90s.

No it's not - sadly Croatia, Morocco and (nearly) Netherlands have proved that boring football is well and truly back! Try not to lose & only attempt to play football if you're one or two nil down with 10 minutes left!

I went to several matches in Euro 96 and countries were playing boring football, but it felt with better players.

I remember them saying Germany v France was the defacto final in Euro 2016. They also said France v Belgium was the defacto final in the last world cup, they were correct that time!

My cousin has been saying for a week or so now that a Portugal v Argentina final is what they expect to see.

Could be a cursed prediction if Morocco do a madness tonight.

Did it ever go away? Euro 2004 was won by Greece, who played a militant brand of defensive football reliant on defensive set-pieces, although the idea that Greece have won more European Championships than England and Belgium, as well as the same number as Portugal and the Netherlands, is still quite something.

    • Have you tried Anna von Hausswolff yet? Great singer, and she's from Gothenburg so guess she'll be extra excited to show her skills, especially after she unfortunately had to cancel her early summer dates.    Different style, but Oklou for me was the highlight of Primavera (apart from Geese), really enjoyable relaxed music.
    • A few bigger acts that did other similar festivals this year but not Truck, wouldn't be surprised to see one or two of these (if they're touring):   Reytons The Streets Blossoms Sophie-Ellis Bextor Rick Astley Scissor Sisters Dizzee Rascal   Truck on the undercard seems to rotate a lot of it every 2/3 years, expect to see some of these (if they're touring): Yard Act Sports Team Sea Girls Pale Waves Fat Dog Peace Swim Deep Courting   Hope Westside Cowboy and Radio Free Alice are booked again and get some bigger slots next year
    • I read a reliable source saying there's not enough time to stress test and have worked through any major financial decisions between now and then.   So guarantees this budget will just be tinkering at the edges only.
    • Thanks @sisco. Looking forward to it!
    • Looking like will be bringing a 2-3 month old to Glastonbury next year
