Disagree strongly - they definitely didn't want that embarrassing result on their records. Wouldn't have had it either if they'd picked a decent keeper!

I mean, the Germans have a right to be very annoyed by the winning goal for Japan that's put them out as it's a very generous call to say that was still in play. Equally, however, the Germans put themselves in this position by losing to Japan in the first place.

As it was, it ended up being Uruguay's best performance of the tournament, but still not enough thanks to South Korea doing likewise.
