The reality is that there are so many influences and parameters to what might happen that I’m absolutely only guessing … I haven’t got a clue what might be the quickest way to get an election with the least damage to others . Just taking a punt really

yeah...you may be right...everything so fast moving and chaotic.

We also have plenty of back stabbing about turners amongst Tory mps … so we don’t know which way they might go to protect jobs … or fingers crossed give up

Johnson is popular isn’t he?

He certainly is amongst Conservative voters, look at that column, 56% would be happy and 21% not too bothered either way, proof positive he can still get the Tories a better result than the others, the fact that 77% of Labour voters would be unhappy is irrelevant, they are not going to vote Tory whoever is in charge.

A majority don’t want to see Johnson return, hardly the popular icon he’s been made out to be.

Not meaning to sound pedantic but a majority of people didn’t even vote for him in 2019, and clearly his support will be lower now than it was then given all the partying, lying, adultery etc etc

That backs up my point quite nicely, because as the graph shows below Johnson wasn’t really popular in 2019 either and mainly won because he went up against an unpopular Corbyn and also Brexit. This adds evidence to those pointing out that Johnson isn’t popular.

Because there wasn't any partying, lying, and adultery before 2019?

Do they need to see if they have the numbers before coming out ?

Not sure. I've only seen Mordaunt officially declare though. I guess Bojo will just claim he didn't want it of he doesn't get the numbers

No they don’t but they would look foolish if they came out then got no votes.

    • I'm surprised they risked it, especially after nearly missing their Glasto 22 slot under similar circumstances  I did see someome say Ellie didnt sound as strong as recently but I'm guessing playing 3 shows in 2 different continents doesnt help that    On the topic though I can definitely see them doing a Fontaines and having a break over winter before a few final Clearing shows next summer
    • That's fair on WA - I did recall people thinking Fontaines would take this year off before this was announced.    On the subject of Wolf Alice, they did Lollapalooza in Chicago on Saturday then Kendal Calling last night. Bit of an odd choice, no? Half imagine at Kendal that they would've been just exhausted.
    • Just logged onto the app to start planning my days and there really are a LOT of stages missing. Apart from the Seaside Stage there is no Casemates this year etc. Apart from the Seaside Stage, there are no Casemates this year, etc. Can't see anything about the kids field really. And there's local acts that are normally there like Kojak's Revenge that aren't appearing either.  Normally we get down fairly early but I can't see anything before 3pm I'm keen to see. Only one real clash as well, which is good, but it's thin and it's not thin in the sense of "I've seen a lot of these acts before"
    • Lifelong Carlisle United supporter here.🤦‍♂️ Good luck for the coming Season and see you in October!
