Everyone prepared for blackouts? I’ve just ordered a UPS which should give me enough time to save my work or game and shut my PC down when the power goes off.

Also can’t take the credit for this personally but are we ready for the Winter of Lizcontent?

I bought some candles, batteries, tinned food and a gun.

I’m more worried about the energy firms, do they have enough money to make it through the winter?

just been reading about house prices falling (here), suggests that over £50k has been knocked off the value of my house. Would also suggest my new neighbours on both sides will now be in negative equity.

Conor Burns was a naughty boy at conference apparently...

Seems to be such a culture of this from the Tory’s … of course other mps aren’t exempt either … wonder what it is that makes them feel the need ? Power over us plebs ? It’s bizzare

at moment he's just been accused, innocent till proven guilty...but to your point, probably a mixture of booze and drugs, privilege, fucked upness from private school education, stressful weird existence, and just being a bit of a tory c**t.

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
    • No argument that he’s bigger than ever, I just have no enthusiasm for it.
