They are now going to get rid of the tax cut for the rich. So Truss will surely have to explain now why the economy isn’t going to grow? As in her own words this was necessary for growth…

KamiKwasi is on the BBC breakfast news trying to claim the 45p was a distraction on their tremendously strong growth plan.

Just amazing. The level of gaslighting is incredible.

They'll say it was too much, too soon. Maybe next time they won't be so gun-ho and ignore the so called experts.

The lady is for turning. What a disastrous start to her leadership. They had a choice, uturn on one of her main leadership pledges, or risk markets crashing and potential political suicide, especially during tory conference. Just have to see how much trust there is in the government amongst the public, Tory MPs, and the markets after this.

They are tearing themselves apart and this is only her first month!

No the reason to fuck the pound was so their mates could make some quick cash. Kamikwaze already told them what was going to happen so they could get their money in the right places.

Northern geography obviously not MisTrusses strong point. Surprising as she grew up in Leeds.

I’d be interested in seeing the route from Hull to Bradford without getting congested in Leeds.

Then for the leg to Liverpool there’s a little something called the Pennines in the way.

There’s a very big reason why more lines don’t exist East to West.

    • I am very possibly wrong about this but I do think that the pitch you get allocated appears to be related to your time of arrival, (i.e. you get the next one available) rather than the price you paid for a small, medium or large pitch.  They all appear to be the same size to me.

    • Liddle: "Drop a small nuclear bomb on Glastonbury to immediately remove from our country almost everybody who is hugely annoying.”   Farage: Free speech!    Polanski: accepts a collaboration on 20 innocuous looking set of photos on instagram but doesn't notice that one that says 'making plans for Nigel' with a guillotine image.   Farage: I expect the MET police to arrest him.
    • I take my lad to the local non-league club - Royston Town - not he's 13, he goes there with his mates and he plays in their youth team.  Not many people there - lucky if they hit 800, but lovely supporting the town team.  I've took him to some league clubs too - Cambridge and Stevenage are great to visit and not crazy prices - his first one was Cambridge v Sunderland (I'm a mackem) when they were in league 1, so a great experience for him.  The England matches aren't too bad value either at Wembley - it's just the parking that stings you. Problem is, he's a City fan, so at some point have to bite the bullet and get him up to the Ethiad. Have done the tour, but he'd love a proper game....my wallet, less so!
    • Said it before, but if Annie Lennox is available next year, then it would be an absolute crime to instead book anyone else. She's rare and legendary enough that you drop all other plans.
