Is it surprising if you actually read the manifestos? Le Pen's is economically very left wing. She's a national socialist in the truest sense of the name.

Worst was definitely Johnson in my opinion. Ferguson was one of many advisors, lockdowns were not unique to this country, and he was seeing his girlfriend which was wrong but not massive piss take like Bojo and his partypeople.

also...Ferguson resigned...

yeah...I think a lot of nationalist politicians are more to the left on the economy though, right? Economic nationalism.  It's why many on left will likely vote for her, especially as she has toned down her anti-immigrant/muslim/eu stuff.

not sure about too stupid...just thought such rules were for lesser

If we take spaffer at his word he didn't understand the rules, cos he said he  rules weren't broken, but a gathering was a clear breech of rules.

The queen isn't going to get involved. Only himself or his MPs can remove him now.

She probably won’t but there might be some old mechanism that allows the Monarch to fire the PM. She asked about it when Johnson prorogued Parliament illegally apparently.

What’s the procedure for Parliament when we get a new monarch? Is it dissolved and a new election has to take place? I know it’s been a very long time since it happened.

no election, parliament is meant to be the continuity that a dead monarch isn't.

My instinct would generally be to go easy on this as it doesn't seem the biggest crime. I however have no doubt that of it was Boris photo without mask in Scotland she would be on full attack.

This happened to Boris somewhere in the UK, remember there being pics of him on a train without a mask. It's shit to break your own rules but it's a much lesser pisstake than having multiple parties in Downing Street.

Well Bojo is back in parliament tomorrow lying about whether he lied to parliament.

if he admitted he lied he'd be lying, he's unable to tell the truth.

Maybe. We'll see. The problem for those MPs is who might replace him. Sunak has fucked it. Truss probably favourite now, but I think she's probably seen as a bit risky and possibly won't be that popular with public. Zarhawi maybe a good shout, he's good at media stuff, has an interesting story and did will as vaccine minister but that has got to be an easy gig, not sure how well he is doing as education sec but he's got to be better than last one. Because of the war they might want go for someone with military experience like Mordaunt, Wallace or Tugendhat.

It seems a sensible decision to me. However I guarantee if it had been Boris photographed without a mask in a similar situation, sturgeon would have milked it as much as possible.

Yeah of course, and the police would have come to same conclusion.

In fairness people did go on about it when he was pictured maskless in a hospital late last year, as said above, and on another occasion that I can't recall but where I recall him doing that. I don't remember it reaching the level of a chat with the cops that time tbf, but then again, with all the party stuff and other accusations, it's perhaps the least of Boris' current problems.

Boris to say he's really sorry again but he really didn't know he was breaking rules and that there were all these other parties going on in the building where he both lives and works etc but...Ukraine needs him so he's staying..

    • Had a wonderful booking in one of our primary woodland venues this weekend. A 30th birthday arranged by a load of musicians and entertainment industry professionals. It was primarily a folk oriented event, however I noticed one young woman who didn’t seem to fit dress and appearance wise. Turned out to be Frenetic, one of the top up and coming UK Jungle and DnB DJ’s.    Anyway Saturday night turned into an EDM session and I got to do a set. Slightly nervous considering who was there, it was great and Frenetic loved my set. She’s closing Data Mine at Shambala this year.
    • they got lucky and the thunderstorms stayed away. It was still wet of course. Some of those boot sucking puddles did emerge from what a couple friends saw who were there.  Post fest aerial also below   and also a sapphic mud wrestling contest?
    • It's even less funny when in real life too...   Liddle met Rachel Royce and the couple soon became romantically involved.[84] In January 2004 the couple married at a ceremony in Malaysia. They had been living in Heytesbury, Wiltshire, and had two sons together. Six months later, Liddle moved in with Alicia Monckton, a 22-year-old receptionist at The Spectator. It transpired that he had cut short his honeymoon with Royce so that he could be with Monckton. Following their divorce, Liddle and Royce exchanged attacks in the media. Liddle called her a "total slut and slattern"
